The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide cover to all road users within the boarders of South Africa to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner, and to actively promote safe use of our roads.
The Organisation requires the services of qualified individuals for the following position; the position will be based in the Durban Regional Office:

Purpose of the Job: To provide administrative assistant in the ILD section.
Key Performance Areas
Perform Duplicate and other system check with regards to claims and payments
- Use claim view to do duplicate check. Complete duplicate checklist. Use payment system to check that no payment has been made
- Receipt of new claims into section, batching and indexing thereof
- Update information on the claims system and on file
Check and verify that all data on the claims system is correct
- Use claim view and ensure that data on the system corresponds with the data on the file
Request files from CAFS within specified timeframe
- Use the metro file system and request files
- Photocopying, faxing and scanning of documents
- Retrieval and filing of files, updating of file from CAFS
Assist in the management of ILD Officer/Senior trial diary
- Update all trial dates received in the professional assistant's dairy on a daily basis
Assist the ILD Officer with trial preparation
- Attend to indexing, paginating, phoning of witnesses and insured drivers, requesting outstanding information necessary to prepare for trial
- Assist in all admin functions related to preparation for trial
Administer and Maintain effective and efficient movement of records
- Ensure all files leaving the department are scanned
- Ensure that all notices, pleadings are filled within
- Office Administration
- Keep register of all documents
Qualifications & Experience
- NQF 4 (Matric or grade 12) qualification
- Relevant 1 year experience in a similar environment

Remuneration
At the cost to company of minimum package applicable to this position is R185 338.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in manner that will suit their needs".
