REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Finance or Business Management and any other related qualification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Finance or permit administration.
 
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Good Customer service
  • Knowledge of project planning principles
  • Knowledge of internet and email facilities
  • Advanced Knowledge on Microsoft Excel
  • Rail industry related experience
 
KEY RESULT AREAS:
  • Support the Safety Permit Management Department by coordinating all permit related activities to ensure the effective management of  safety permits and compliance to the established procedures and controls to guide the permit life-cycle nationally.
  • Managing the submission of information pertaining to all Special Conditions linked to issued permits and annual safety improvements plans (ASIP) within the set time frame and do Regulatory Assessments of short-term permits.
  • All external correspondence/ interface with operators relating to safety compliance matters shall be done through this role to ensure a centralized administration portal.
  • Track and follow-up on applicants to ensure that specific applications are submitted on time, prior to expiry of the permits
  • Provide feedback to the Senior Manager: Safety Permits on applications submitted and outstanding for action
  • Attend to daily enquiries by inspectors on all operators with Safety Permits
  • Timely submission of Temporary Safety Permits, Construction Train Safety Permits and Test & Commissioning Safety Permits applications and subsequent SP applications
  • All administrative duties pertaining to Temporary Safety Permits, Construction Train Safety Permits and Test & Commissioning Safety Permits up to the stage when a Safety Permit is issued.
  • Management of the Short-term Permit Database
  • Follow-up submission of outstanding ASIPs, Special conditions and outstanding operator information.
  • Interacting with the Admin: Permit Fees when ASIP assessments commence to request permit fee invoices.
  • Scanning and filing of approved ASIPs and special conditions assessment outcomes received back from the Head: Safety Permit Management.
