Job Description
Manage the processing of applications and evaluate products relating to new development /realignment/ review of occupational qualifications, part-qualifications, and skills programmes. Manage evaluation of applications for learnership registration. Monitor and track allocated projects within the qualification’s domain space.
- Manage the evaluation and moderation of applications for occupational qualifications, part-qualifications and skills programmes.
- Manage the evaluation and moderation of developed occupational qualifications, part-qualifications and skills programmes.
- Monitoring and track Quality Partner(s) processes on development, realignment and review of occupational qualifications, part-qualifications, and skills programmes.
- Evaluate and moderate of learnership applications received from Quality Partner(s).
- Manage the tracking of SAQA feedback and completion of remediation actions required for occupational qualifications and part-qualifications.
- Quality assures the evaluation of reports received from Quality Partner(s).
- Support Quality Partners to ensure that there is industry stakeholder participation in processes on development, realignment and review of occupational qualifications, part-qualifications, and skills programmes.
- Ensure effective communication with Quality Partners and other stakeholders.
- Participate in structures aimed at enhancing development of occupational qualifications, part-qualifications, and skills programmes.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies, guidelines, templates and forms on QCTO mandate.
- Contribute to continuous professional development through reading articles, participate in research workshops, seminars as a way of keeping abreast with latest developments on occupational qualifications, part- qualifications and skills programmes.
- Provide necessary support to internal and external stakeholders to support implementation of QCTO policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Operate within the policies, procedures, and prescripts of the QCTO.
- Participate in QCTO team activities and uphold QCTO values.
Job Requirements
- A minimum qualification at NQF Level 7 in Technical or Engineering field or related qualification as recognised by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
- Specific artisanal qualification (trade qualification) in a technical or engineering field plus a supervisory or management qualification at NQF level 7 as recognised by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
- A minimum of six (6) years of work experience in a technical or engineering field of which three (4) years must be at a supervisory level position.
- Driver’s License, at least Code B.
- Experience in qualifications and skills programmes development, realignment, or review will be regarded as an added advantage.
- Must have knowledge of Public Service and QCTO mandates and strategies, knowledge of the education system and pedagogy, Post school education framework, Relevant Government Framework Act, Skills Development Act, National Skills Development Plan 2030, QCTO business strategies and goals, QCTO business processes and value chain, QCTO policies, Procedures, and regulations, QCTO goals and performance requirements.

Job Description

- Ensure public providers are equipped to implement occupational qualifications and skills programs.
- Support the rollout of occupational qualifications within the transitioning public sector.
- Initiate and participate in pilot projects related to offering occupational qualifications at public providers.
- Oversee and report on the implementation process.
- Track and report on learner enrolment at public providers.
- Monitor and report on the quality assurance processes at public providers.
- Manage QCTO processes for the quality assurance of assessments.
- Ensure adherence to QCTO policies.
- Monitor and report on learner achievements at public providers.

- Monitor expenditure against the allocated budget under the leadership of the responsible director.

- Maintain a database of information related to public providers.
- Participate in developing policies, guidelines, and templates.

Job Requirements

Job Description
To manage workforce safety, office layouts, preventive building maintenance, contractor management, and health and safety compliance management for the QCTO.
Key functions:

- Management and supervision of contracted service provider and make sure that the SLA, specifications, and industry regulations are adhered to.
- Liaise with the service providers regarding any operational issues or operational requirements.
- Ensure adequate and maximum protection measures pertaining to the buildings and equipment.
- Management of maintenance, repairs, and improvement of security systems (both physical and automated) across the board.
- Attend to all security issues and queries pertaining to QCTO properties.
