PRACTITIONER: TRANSPORT AND FLEET MANAGEMENT
(Permanent Position) REF: QCTO 173
Salary Notch: R 257 508.00 – R 303 339.00.00 (Excluding benefits)
LOCATION: PRETORIA
To provide transport, administration and monitoring of QCTO vehicles.
 
 
Key functions:
 Administration of QCTO pool and leased vehicles
 Checking and verifying the invoices, vehicles service record as per manufacture specification.
 Receive transport requests and allocate vehicles to approved drivers.
 Verifying the vehicles log books and vehicle request if they are accurately completed.
 Random inspections conducted and tracker reports are compared with to log sheet.
 Receive transport related invoices from service providers and action them immediately.
 Report all non-compliance and queries to supervisor, by compiling circulars to the QCTO officials
 Ensure that all QCTO vehicles are serviced on time as according to the manufacture specification.
 Ensure that QCTO vehicles losses and damages are reported and repairs processes are followed.
 Prepare a report on all damages.
 Ensure the registration of all traffic fines and redirect to the relevant driver.
 Serve as QCTO proxy and ensure that all vehicles are road worthy by renewing license disk
 Ensure quality work is rendered from transport section.
 Ensure quality on management of service contract and that the service level agreement is adhered to.
 Ensure that job description, performance assessment is completed by all transport officials as per PMDS policy
 Actively participate in all meetings as required.
 Operate within policies, procedures and rules of the QCTO
 
Requirements:
 A recognised three (3) year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (minimum NQF Level 6) registered with occupational qualifications sub-framework (SAQA).
 2-3 years' collective experience in Transport or Fleet management. Code 10 Drivers Licence
 Strong administrative, Organisational and general office management
 Time management
 Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing
 Must have knowledge of Public Service and QCTO mandates and strategies, Relevant government legislation, QCTO business strategies and goals, QCTO services, QCTO business processes and value chain.
 Must have skills in Communication, Computer literate, Microsoft Office proficient, Planning and organising, Administrative skills, Time management, Planning and organising management, monitoring and evaluation, managing interpersonal conflict and resolving problems.
