HEAD: ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE

Purpose of the role: 
  • The Head: Enterprise Architecture plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organisation's IT architecture is consistently aligned with its overall business strategy. By fostering this alignment, the position directly contributes to enhancing operational efficiencies and reducing organisational complexity. 
  • Supporting organisational change and innovation is central to this role. The Head: Enterprise Architecture enables the PIC to adapt swiftly and seamlessly to new developments and advancements, facilitating a culture of responsiveness and agility. 
  • Serving as the custodian of the PIC's operational design, this position oversees the integration and coherence of technical and functional frameworks across all divisions. Additionally, the role maintains a comprehensive repository of the organisation's technical and functional design, ensuring that all aspects of PIC's operations are thoroughly documented and accessible. 
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information Technology, with technical operations management experience. 
  • Hons, MBA or Masters qualification will be an added advantage. 
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in the IT industry, including at least 5 years at a senior management level in Digital Architecture, data and AI architecture and all related digital artefacts; 
  • TOGAF Certification (or any other EA Framework-related certification), or any other related framework. 
  • Detailed understanding and application of the best practices and industry trends. 
  • Software development methods and modelling techniques. 
  • Experience in designing and implementing architectures in both the IT and digital operations.
  • Extensive understanding, use of case tools and modelling methodologies UML. 
 
Duties:
  • Develop a services architecture blueprint and all other supporting IT domains and set up IT governance for the entire enterprise architecture; 
  • Develop a data architecture and solutions architecture in line with PIC Data and analytics strategy; 
  • Roll down the architecture principles across the enterprise and ensure the roll-out to every technical area; 
  • Align projects to architecture and strategy; 
  • Define, implement, and execute the processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Enterprise Architecture; 
  • Update and maintain the key Enterprise Architecture deliverables; 
  • Establish and maintain contacts within business units and information system programs to understand business activities and business drivers, business requirements, solutions strategies and alternatives, etc., being considered and/or implemented; 
  • Enable Group IT on the effective, efficient, agile and integral use of technology to solve business problems; 
  • Understand, catalogue and communicate the technical building blocks in the environment by means of the Technology Repository; 
  • Management and supervision of subordinates within the EA unit.

As part of the Multi-Management: Private Markets team, the incumbent will assist the Head of Multi-Management: Private Markets in providing leadership and strategic vision for the fund investment business 
 
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications and experience: 
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification 
  • Postgraduate qualification (Hons, Masters, MBA, etc.), CFA or CA(SA) would be advantageous 
  • FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment 
  • 2 -3 years of investment experience. Private Equity, Fund of Funds or Multi-manager experience would be advantageous 
  • Ability to conduct detailed research on sectors or industries.

  • Assist the team in the handover of approved transactions to various divisions, including portfolio management

Purpose of the role: 
To carry out complex internal audits and recommend controls to address identified weaknesses to business management, as directed by the Public Investment Corporation. 
 
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Grade 12
  • BCom Degree in Internal Auditing/ Accounting/ Investment Management/ Business Science or a related discipline. 
 
Preferred Qualifications : 
  • Bcom Honours degree in Internal Auditing/ Accounting/ Investment Management/ Business Science or a related discipline. 
  • Industry recognised certifications, such as CIA/CA/CIMA/ACCA or working towards obtaining one. 
 
Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement 
  • 3- 5 years relevant internal/external auditing experience, 
  • Experience in performing investment audits 
  • Experience in performing operational and compliance-type audits. 
  • Experience in performing financial statements and performance information reviews. 
  • Knowledge of PFMA and treasury regulations 
  • Knowledge of financial markets regulations 
  • Knowledge of best practice frameworks such as COSO, King IV, IFRS, amongst others 
 
Duties:
  • Perform complex audits allocated by the Audit Manager, in line with the approved annual audit plan and report the outcomes to governance structures. 
  • Review the financial statements and report the outcomes to governance structures. 
  • Perform a review of the performance information report and report the outcomes to governance structures. 
  • Assist the Audit Manager in preparing the audit plans and risk universe. 
  • Assist customers in understanding and remedying their internal control shortcomings. 
  • Perform complex ad-hoc assignments allocated by the Audit Manager. 
  • Provide supervision and coaching to the auditors and interns. 
  • Follow up on audit findings effectively and prepare reports for submissions to governance committees.
