​We are currently seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the following position: 

 
HEAD- UNLISTED PROPERTIES
*Job Grade: F1 – F2 
Ref: HP001 
Salary: All-inclusive remuneration package negotiable 
Centre: Pretoria, Properties Division 
 
Purpose of the role: 
To unlock value for Clients and to Provide Strategic leadership in repositioning the PIC Property portfolio (direct and indirect assets) and related investment vehicles to generate commercial returns whilst impacting the socio-economic landscape as part of the developmental mandate of the PIC. 
 
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in property studies, quantity surveying, building science, property development & management or equivalent qualification (NQF level 8). 
  • Business Management postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. 
  • FAIS RE 01, RE 03 and RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. 
  • Minimum 10 – 15 years’ experience within the Property Investment Industry of which 5 years must be in Senior Management. 
  • Knowledge of Property Asset Management, Property Law, Property Development, Property Acquisition & Disposal, Accounting and performance calculation. 
  • Sound & Strong Leadership with prior Board experience. 
 
Duties:
  • Setting the overall strategic vision, leadership, growth and direction of the Properties division. 
  • Develop the unlisted property Investment strategy and oversee its implementation for optimal outcomes in line with client mandates and expectations. 
  • Lead dynamic teams in executing unlisted property investments ethically and efficiently. 
  • Continuous optimisation of property portfolios both direct and indirect assets and related investment vehicles to meet client return objectives 
  • Involvement at Senior Management/Executive level to ensure business efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Portfolio risk management in line with client mandates. 
  • Leadership of the Unlisted Properties team.
