SENIOR EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR – (Ref NO – SEC 2023)
The Proudly South African Campaign invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Events Co-ordinator on a fixed term contract for 3 years.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R40 000.00 per month plus benefits.
MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric and proficient in English.
• An appropriate recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing.
• Minimum of 3-year’s relevant experience and exposure in organizing events, exhibitions & projects.
• Supervisory experience will be advantageous.
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc).
• Willingness to travel as and when required.
SKILLS:
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.
• Excellent organizational, time and project management skills with experience of planning their workload in order to meet deadlines.
• Excellent administration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills by identifying and analyzing problems; distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information to make lo make logical decisions; provide solutions to individual and organizational problems.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinating and updating of the Proudly South African annual events & exhibitions calendar.
• Communicating the events and exhibitions calendar to internal & external customers.
• Coordinate Proudly South African virtual and physical events, exhibitions & promotions.
• Responsible for all arrangements and planning leading up to the event/exhibitions.
• Prepare communiques or circulars for upcoming events, exhibitions & promotions.
• Implement marketing plans to support all Proudly South African internal and external activities as well as promotion of the Proudly South African brand, products and services.
• Develop and submit reports (weekly, monthly, annually, project plans, close out reports and ad hoc reports).
• Arrange and attend events with the provincial forum and sectors.
• Ensure that all events are executed as planned, anticipated and accounted for accordingly.
• Manage and liaise with potential suppliers with regards contracts.
• Source external delegates and ensure compliance of concise guest list.
• Post event - distribution of customer satisfaction surveys after every event and exhibition and then collate reports from the feedback received.
• Adhere to organizational procedures & policies.
• Adhoc and miscellaneous duties assigned.
