VACANCY — HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
 
Petroleum Agency SA, a subsidiary of CEF SOC Limited, is responsible for
promoting and regulating the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas
(petroleum) resources within the Republic both on-shore and off-shore on behalf of Government in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act.
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, an opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources and Administration Manager.
 
 
Key Performance Areas: • Formulate the Human Resources strategy
• Originate and implement approved HR and Administration policies and
procedures • Manage the recruitment and selection processes • Manage the organisational development function • Develop and manage the remuneration strategy, structure and job evaluation system • Supervise the payroll and financial reporting • Manage the employee wellness programmes • Produce and co-ordinate the training budgets • Support Management by providing Human Resources advice • Establish and maintain sound industrial relations • Manage Human Resources and Administration operations.
 
Key attributes and Qualifications: • Human Resources related degree
e.g. Human Resources, Industrial Psychology etc. • Post graduate degree will be an added advantage • Minimum of 7 years senior management experience • Extensive knowledge of labour legislation • Experience of working in a unionised environment is essential • Computer literacy and knowledge of payroll systems • Strategic Leadership • Excellent Communication • Building Partnerships.
 


VACANCY — LEGAL ADVISOR: COMPLIANCE
 
Petroleum Agency SA, a subsidiary of CEF SOC Limited, is responsible for promoting and regulating the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas (petroleum) resources within the Republic both on-shore and off-shore on behalf of Government in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act.
 
This position reports directly to the Company Secretary / Legal Counsel and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
 
Key Performance Areas: • Develop and implement compliance management plans, policies, processes and monitoring to ensure that the organisation complies with relevant laws and regulations • Assist to establish and maintain a robust compliance function • Ensure controls are in place to mitigate compliance risk within the organisation • Provide advice, awareness and training on matters pertaining to compliance • Report on compliance matters including breaches and exposures • Review and monitor legislation changes, and identify legislative risks • Provide legal advice and representation to the business • Review, draft, negotiate and advise on various contracts.
 
Key attributes and Qualifications: • Relevant Bachelor's degree, preferably LLB • Post-graduate diploma in Compliance would be advantageous • Five years relevant experience • Compliance management experience • Drafting and vetting of contractual agreements • Knowledge and experience in petroleum upstream environment would be advantageous • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
 
 
 
 
 
VACANCY — UTT COORDINATOR (CSI)
(Three (3) year fixed term contract)
 
Petroleum Agency SA, a subsidiary of CEF SOC Limited, is responsible for promoting and regulating the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas (petroleum) resources within the Republic both on-shore and off-shore on behalf of Government in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act.
 
This position reports directly to the Company Secretary / Legal Counsel and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
 
Key Performance Areas: • Manage and execute the UTT's Strategy • Create internal and external communications • Create marketing content for publications — responsible for report writing and updating the stakeholder about progress made by the Trust. • Develop internal and external stakeholder relationships • Oversee the operations of the Trusts i.e. Bursary, project, website and financial administration • Apply continuous improvement principles and key performance indicators to CSR projects and tactics.
 
Key attributes and Qualifications: • Grade 12 (Essential) • Degree/Diploma in Public Relations, Communications or Social Sciences (Essential) • At least 3 years' experience in CSI and PR • At least 2 years PR experience • Upstream oil and gas experience advantageous • Experience with presentations at senior level • Attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
