Job Description
Main purpose of the job 
To, independently, conduct inspection and certification of products according to standard protocols and procedures as prescribed through PPECB's legislative mandate.
 
High level job objectives 
•    To ensure service delivery to internal and external clients in line with PPECB's legislative 
•    mandate, SLA's, MOU's and MOA's. 
•    To ensure PPECB's values are portrayed to enhance a culture of accountability. 
•    To ensure compliance to internal and external business management processes. 
•    To ensure compliance to Human Resources policies and procedures. 
•    To ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures.
 
Requirements
Qualifications
(Essential)
•    A Minimum Tertiary Qualification or a National Diploma/Degree 
in the following Sciences: 
o    Agricultural management/Crop production 
o    Horticulture 
o    Environmental Health or 
o    Food Technology 
(Desirable)
•    Agricultural Export Technologist Programme (AETP)

Experience
(Desirable)
•    Practical and Theoretical experience of perishable products 
•    Completed (AETP) Agricultural Export Technologist Programme

Knowledge
(Desirable)
•    Practical and theoretical knowledge of Perishable Products 
•    Completion of Portfolio of Evidence of at least one product 
•    Knowledge of the PPECB and the Perishable Export Industry 
•    Knowledge of export legislation

Job Description
The Data Analyst uses the chosen reporting tool to deliver the reports or dashboards to support the organisation’s data analytics business strategy. The resource is also responsible for ongoing improvement to ensure successful daily delivery.
  • Develop procedures and processes for the analysis and profiling of data
  • Provide input into the collection and transformation of data needed in the data warehouse
  • Review and validate all data as it is being collected
  • Get buy in from stakeholder regard to analytics and data visualisation
  • Collaborating with BI development team in order to deploy system updates that allows working with data to support the intended analytics
