PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE OF THE FREE STATE (PACOFS)
VACANCY
Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following vacant post:-
POSITION: SENIOR MANAGER MARKETING
All-inclusive remuneration: R751 226 – R1 089 540 per annum
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Marketing, Sales or Communications or any equivalent and appropriate, related tertiary qualification;
At least 5 years’ experience in marketing in a commercial or theatre audience development environment;
Fundraising experience;
At least 3 years’ management experience;
Valid driver’s licence.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Develop and implement marketing and PR campaigns that drive ticket sales and space rentals;
Invest in formative research, develop and implement a plan including the generation of content marketing, paid media, e-communications, digital marketing, social and third party promotions
Generate regular sales reports against marketing plans to demonstrate return on investment against activities, key findings, learnings and recommendations
Establish and maintain successful relationships with media agencies, ensure best value for money and report on effectiveness of the media to help guide on future campaigns;
Develop and implement marketing and PR campaigns that drive ticket sales and space rentals;
Invest in formative research, develop and implement a plan including the generation of content marketing, paid media, e-communications, digital marketing, social and third party promotions;
Lead the marketing and promotion of PACOFS using traditional and social media in order to inspire and engage the identified key target audiences in accordance with the audience development and engagement strategy;
Ensure development of marketing campaigns to target new user groups to maximize appeal and revenue;
Develop partnerships and links with local industry and communities, educational institutions, relevant bodies and the public to encourage engagement in artistic activities;
Maximise the reach of PACOFS’ offerings locally, regionally and nationally;
Ensure PACOFS’ brand is represented and communicated appropriately in all areas of activity;
Develop, implement and review the theatre's overall business plan;
Plan and book a theatre programme by applying knowledge of audiences, ensuring the artistic directorate balances between different types of productions and being aware of which productions have been well received elsewhere.
Please note: The above-mentioned salary range is all-inclusive and is only negotiable if the incumbent’s current earnings is above the entry level.
