PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE OF THE FREE STATE (PACOFS)
VACANCY
Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following vacant post:-
POSITION: ASSETS PRACTITIONER
All-inclusive remuneration: R379 844 – R597 380 per annum
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Relevant Diploma at NQF level 6 in Financial Accounting or equivalent qualification;
3 years’ experience in an assets or financial accounting environment;
Practical knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and relevant Government Regulations and policies;
Experience / knowledge of the GRAP standard as well as accrual accounting skills;
Valid driver’s licence.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Compile and manage the fixed asset and the intangible asset registers;
Perform assets impairment assessments;
Review assets’ remaining useful lives and residual values;
Perform reconciliations between the general ledger and the asset register;
Maintain an annual register of current infrastructure (repairs and maintenance made on assets);
Monitor capex grant and expenditure;
Undertake the transfer of costs of improvements on immovable assets to the Department of Public Works.
Compile interim and annual financial statements, including the audit files;
Compile audit improvement plan;
Follow-up all audit findings to ensure that they are cleared;
Report on the progress registered in clearing the audit findings.
Please note: The above-mentioned salary range is all-inclusive and is only negotiable if the incumbent’s current earnings is above the entry level.
