PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE OF THE FREE STATE (PACOFS)
VACANCY
Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following vacant post:-
POSITION: SENIOR MANAGER FACILITIES
All-inclusive remuneration: R751 226 – R1 089 540 per annum
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or any equivalent and appropriate, related tertiary qualification;
At least 5 years in a facilities management or theatre technical environment;
At least 3 years’ management experience;
Capital infrastructure management;
Infrastructure maintenance;
Valid driver’s licence.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Ensure day-to-day operations and activities relating to the technical operations of the theatre are planned and executed professionally and efficiently;
Communicate effectively with incoming artists and companies regarding technical requirements, ensuring rider responses are completed and effectively distributed to all relevant parties;
Ensure all artists and companies are professionally supported, including management of get-ins, shows and get-outs; delivering a high standard of customer service;
Ensure scheduling and supervision of technical staff making best use of their time within the contexts of ‘in season’ and ‘out of season’ programming and ensure that an accurate record of hours worked is kept.
Oversee the development of preventative and operational maintenance plans for buildings, grounds, mechanical and electrical, utility, and safety and security systems;
Lead the development of specifications for cost-effective energy management;
Manage the maintenance of all technical facilities and equipment;
Ensure basic maintenance duties as required is undertaken to ensure the work place adheres to health and safety requirements and all staff are informed.
Develop and maintain a system for evaluating capital projects prior to their approval;
Develop and maintain user asset management plan;
Contribute to the development of the health and safety policy and the development of safe and efficient systems of working. Implement these policies and procedures with all staff ensuring training is completed and documented.
Please note: The above-mentioned salary range is all-inclusive and is only negotiable if the incumbent’s current earnings is above the entry level.
