MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
All-Inclusive Salary R305 204 – R499 428
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• NQF Level 6 / Three years’ diploma or N6 with red seal certificate in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
• 3 years’ experience within engineering field or theatre or similar sector;
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work irregular hours.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Carry out inspections as per maintenance plan;
• Conduct daily routine maintenance activities for all facilities;
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers;
• Keep record of all installations;
• Carry out inspections as per maintenance plan mechanical stage machinery;
• Complete log books, time sheets and related documentation;
• Designs layout for machines, according to engineering specifications.

Please note: The above-mentioned salary range is all-inclusive and the entry level is only negotiable if the incumbent’s current earning is above the entry level. Also note that the appointed person will sometimes be expected to work after hours and on weekends, but within the statutory number of hours, without additional compensation. Further note that this position does not qualify for overtime pay.
