Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following vacant post:-
 
POSITION: LIGHT CURRENT TECHNICIAN
All-inclusive remuneration: R290 670 – R475 645 per annum

 
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 A 3 years’ Diploma or N6 with red seal certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and appropriate related qualification.
 At least 3 years’ experience within the engineering field.
 Understanding and working with Theatre equipment.
 Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work irregular hours.
 Valid driver’s licence.
 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 Design layout for integrated circuits, according to engineering specifications;
 Execute practical light current installations for stage performances;
 Commission light current installations;
 Conduct test to diagnose and determine the cause of equipment breakdown;
 Isolate, remove and replace defective components;
 Conduct root case analysis in case of machinery failure;
 Execute lighting designs and operate theatre shows;
 Tests circuits and functionality of new components.
 
Please note: The above-mentioned salary range is all-inclusive and is only negotiable if the incumbent’s current earnings is above the entry level.
