Responsibilities

We're looking for a Head Miller based at Gqeberha Mill to jon the team. Supervises the activities of a group of employees /controllers engaged in performing a variety of milling routines. Responsible for the training of new employees as well as the training in SHEQ procedures and principles.

Accountabilities

• Ensuring that the team reaches our set targets (Material efficiency, True efficiency, Net efficiency and balancing of the Mill)
• Compiling mill grist & controlling product quality parameters
• Planning of production maintenance and roll change
• Compile and execute milling & milling processes for shift
• Training and guiding Miller assistants
• Provide leadership and relieving Millers when required
• Ensure house keeping
• Control raw material & finished stock levels & rotation for shift
• Ensuring wheat from Silos is cleaned and well-conditioned
• Optimisation of Silo screens room machinery
• Control and optimise people, mill, machinery and equipment - also maintain the mill, machinery and equipment

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Wheat milling course and trade test

What we're looking for: We're looking for a Specialist Artisan: Control & Automation based at Ceres Beverages Plant. Successful incumbent will primarily to ensure maximum plant uptime is achieved continuously and leads the maintenance and trouble shooting of control systems/instrumentation equipment as well as ensure that the factory meets its key KPIs which include but are not limited to volume and quality compliance, costs and downtime reduction.

Accountabilities

• Performs instrumentation maintenance activities associated with process plant, packaging plant; palletizing plant, utilities and facilities.
• Monitors daily downtime and institute corrective action plans to prevent recurrences of breakdowns.
• Calibrates, repairs and maintains control gear/instrumentation and associated equipment to ensure operation within set standards;
• Perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and/or reduce cost;
• Maintains PLCs and SCADA systems and networks (hardware and software) and perform changes/modification as required;
• Continuously evaluates the process control philosophy and initiate improvement actions in order to achieve asset performance targets;
• Implements continuous improvement on all electronic equipment in the plant.
• Assist in commissioning of modifications/projects;
• Ensures proper documentation of changes/modifications and perform internal audits;
• Fault finding and repair of electronic systems to card level.

• Ensure availability of spares for all electronic/control systems in the plant.
• Accurately and timeously reports process equipment deviations to stakeholders to meet/improve equipment availability and reliability targets.
• Ensure proper back-up of all PLC programs and maintain records of all upgrades.
• Ensure the safe operations of process control systems.
• Audit of control system equipment.
• Resolve daily plant instrumentation issues and complete root cause analysis
• Ensure all back-up software is up to date and process control systems on the plant are functional
• Calibration of process equipment.
• Complete required testing and safety checks on all instrumentation equipment.
• Conducts all scheduled maintenance within required timeframes
• Performs all emergency electronic maintenance
• Updates and Reviews documentation relating to work done and or changes in original specifications
• Signs off on alternative systems suppliers based on equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified dual trade artisan with Trade Test Certificates in Instrumentation and Electrical
• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in the Production/FMCG environment.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software
• Must have strong knowledge and experience in control systems – SCADA and PLCs, ACDC drives and SCADA systems.
• Extensive knowledge of instrumentation, HAZOP studies, PIDs and quality standards
• Working experience with industrial communication methodologies (RS-232, ASI, Devicenet, Ethernet)
• Extensive experience with operator interfaces; and energy devices such as drives; servo drives; thyristors; soft starters etc.

What we're looking for: We're looking for a Specialist Artisan based at Ceres Beverage Plant. Successful incumbent will primarily to ensure that all plant equipment is functioning or operating at high levels of reliability and are maintained periodically as scheduled and all breakdowns are resolved soonest in order to ensure maximum plant availability as well as ensuring that the factory meets its key KPIs and supply the market with Pepsico products which include but are not limited to volume and quality compliance, costs and downtime reduction. Ability to coach operator, provide innovation for cost savings and be accountable for MPS, SA on respective production lines.

Maintain the machine to reach high reliability, safety and quality standard

We're looking for an EHS Coordinator based at our Atlantis Cereals Plant to assist the EHS Site Manager and site management to ensure employee safety by ensuring that all risks in the workplace are identified, evaluated and controlled, in a manner that also complies with the OHS Act and PEPSICO international standards. Accountabilities: 

• Scheduling/Managing of respective SHE Committee meetings in the Atlantis – Manufacturing & Warehousing
• Conduct monthly & annual EHS Steering Group meetings with the senior team.

What we're looking for: We're looking for an Engineer II: Bakeries Technical and Engineering based in Cape Town.  

The purpose of the role is to:

• Set up, implement and drive Asset Care Program including PeMM audits and best practice implementation,
• Enable plant & equipment reliability including the reduction of breakdowns

Asset Care

• Assist with and/or set up of maintenance policy, strategy and systems and the implementation thereof.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Relevant Degree or Diploma within Engineering field.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

• Successfully completed the Theoretical part of their studies in scientific field with > 60% Average and in there last year of studies. (Biochemistry, Food Technology or Engineering)  
•  South African citizen  
•  Good technical and analytical skills, basic knowledge of statistics, ability to interpret data and distil into useful and actionable information  
•  Supportive team player with an accurate, methodical, tidy and reliable approach

What we're looking for: We looking for an Instrument Technician based ar Isando Plant Snacks. 

Main Purpose of the role: 

• The main purpose is primarily to ensure maximum plant uptime is achieved continuously.
• The individual must be a leader in maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• The individual must ensure that the factory meets its key KPIs which include but are not limited to production volume, safety and quality compliance, cost reduction, equipment reliability improvement and downtime reduction.

Accountabilities: 

• Performs electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities associated with process plant, packaging plant; palletizing plant, WWTP, utilities and facilities.
• Leading all electrical and instrumentation repairs and maintenance activities in designated area of responsibility.
• Monitors daily downtime and institutes corrective action plans to prevent recurrences of breakdowns.
• Calibrates, repairs and maintains instrumentation, control and electrical associated equipment to ensure operation within set standards.
• Perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and/or reduce cost.
• Maintains PLCs, SCADA systems and networks (hardware and software) and perform changes/modifications as required.
• Continuously evaluates the equipment control philosophies and initiates improvement actions in order to achieve asset performance targets.
• Implements continuous improvement on all electrical and electronic equipment in the plant.
• Assist in commissioning of modifications/projects.
• Ensures proper documentation of changes/modifications and perform internal audits.
• Fault finding and repair of electrical and electronic systems to the component level.
• Ensure availability of spares for all electrical, electronic and control systems in the plant.
• Accurately and timeously reports equipment deviations to stakeholders to meet/improve equipment availability and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade tested with at least N6/S4 diploma qualification in Electrical : Instrumentation and control.
• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in the Production/FMCG environment.
• Advanced computer literacy skills with knowledge of MS Office and SAP maintenance management system
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience in control systems - PLCs, SCADA, VSDs and Servo drives, HMI systems, standalone controllers, high speed printers and robotics.
• Extensive knowledge of instrumentation, electrical diagrams, P&IDs with a high quality of work.
• Strong PLC fault finding and troubleshooting skills and thorough knowledge of operator interfaces and HMIs.
• Working experience with industrial communication methodologies (Ethernet, CANBUS, RS-232, ASI, Devicenet)

What we’re looking for: We're looking for a Site Security Coordinator based at Isando Plant Snacks. Main purpose of the role: 

• As directed by the Business Unit leadership, the Global Security Director (SA) and in collaboration with the PepsiCo Office of Global Security, ensure that the premises allocated to, benefit from effective and sustainable security programs that mitigate risk to our people, assets and objectives while protecting PepsiCo Brands.

Accountabilities: 

The tasks of the Site Security Coordinator  include and are not limited to the following:

• In line with the Country broader strategy, implement the Site Security Plan to identify, assess and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s associates, facilities, proprietary information, and brand/reputation.
• Form part of the Site Crisis ManagementTeam, with execution of security functions as part of the Business Continuity Plans of the premises.
• Ensure that the premises is compliant with the Site security plan (technological ,Procedural, Manned guarding ,Architectural )
• Maintain strong working relationships with, and provide consultation to, local management teams.
• Plan and oversee periodic security self-assessments and bi-annual security risk assessment on the premises in order to identify critical vulnerabilities and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security enhancements.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities as well as with security managers of other large multinational companies.

• Ensure the continued professional development of his/her security team, to include the identification of suitable individuals in longer-term succession planning.
• Implementation of all Security Policies, Plans and Site SOP’s
• Report Incidents immediately to Line Manager and ensure compiling of reports according to Security Policies.
• To review the recording of CCTV on a daily basis to ensure that there are no irregularities.
• In conjunction with Control Room Co-ordinator provide the required evidence in the event of any security incident and support EHS on any Safety Incidents evidence if and when required

Qualifications

JOB OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for leading, coordinating, monitoring, managing, and reporting on the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services South Africa (MBFS SA) Credit portfolio for both Retail and Wholesale sectors. The primary goal is to ensure sound credit decision-making, strong portfolio performance, and robust risk governance, adhering to MBFS SA credit policies, risk appetite, Delegation of Authority, and KPI targets. The role also involves close collaboration with MBSA, Agents, internal stakeholders, and external service providers to facilitate sustainable growth and an efficient customer/agent experience, without compromising risk or customer outcomes.   

KEY TASKS:

Lead Credit Operations & Risk Management:

• Lead and develop the Credit Team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous team development and stay updated on market and regulatory changes.
•  Ensure optimal credit decisioning capacity, service levels, and customer experience.
• Oversee comprehensive fraud risk management (Retail & Wholesale), including investigations and controls.
• Ensure consistent and timely e-KYC validations and remediation.
• Manage credit bureau listings, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure agreed turnaround times and service levels are consistently achieved across Retail, Wholesale and Corporate credit decisioning.

Credit Portfolio & Governance Lead:

•   Manage Retail and Wholesale credit portfolios, monitoring risk and reporting insights. This includes oversight of Corporate Business facilities, limits and ongoing credit performance.
•  Ensure consistent credit decisioning, quality assurance, and policy application across all segments.
• Implement best-practice credit governance for Wholesale & Corporate, including reviews and covenant tracking.
• Oversee Wholesale floor plan/stocking controls, audits, and reconciliation.
• Lead credit-related projects and change initiatives from definition to implementation.
• Manage Global Product Database (GPD) governance for credit products, parameters, and rules.
• Support credit strategy, continuous improvement, and policy/process enhancements.
• Operate within Delegation of Authority, escalating exceptions and engaging second-line support.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including MBSA and Agents.

• Promote a strong control environment, adhering to policies, data protection, and AML/KYC.
• Oversee supplier/service provider management for credit operations.
• Prepare and present credit packs for governance forums, managing exceptions and post-approval conditions.
