Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) is a statutory body established in terms of Act 59 of 1995 (as amended) for, inter alia, the creation of conditions for the development and for the promotion of equal use and enjoyment of all the official South African languages. PanSALB seeks to appoint results-driven, assertive and dedicated individuals to fill the following position at our Organisation.
SENIOR MANAGER: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

The purpose of the position: The Manager Supply Chain is a custodian of procurement processes to ensure timely and cost effective purchasing or contracting of all equipment, materials and services required for projects and day to day operations of PanSALB. The role must ensure effective management and safeguarding of PanSALB's assets. Activities performed relate to tenders, supplier selection, price negotiation, contractual negotiation, sourcing of equipment and non-tender supply issues in accordance with generally accepted legislative and regulatory requirements/ frameworks. The role has an optimisation focus and must implement practices to ensure continuous improvement initiatives to realign the function to the Finance Division's strategic requirements and manages the effective utilisation of resources with the Unit.
Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of A relevant B Corn Degree in Supply Chain Management / Public Administration or equivalent qualification. Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
At least 5-8 years management experience in supply chain, finance environment, specifically in procurement, Working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations, with 3 years in management level environment. A valid Code 08 drivers' licence and preparedness to travel, work outside normal hours and willingness to accept responsibility and functions.

Key Performance Areas: The successful incumbent will be expected to perform amongst others but not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities: Manage the Supply Chain management unit and monitor compliance to all legal frameworks and guidelines, Implement bidding process for PanSALB in line with relevant legislation and control systems in the purchasing of supplies for the entire organisation, Implement measures to safeguard PanSALB's assets, Achievement and management of the Unit's business plans and resources. Ensure proper people management.
