The OVERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY have the following vacancy in the Directorate
Community Services, Department Roads, to be filled as soon as possible.
 
SENIOR ARTISAN MECHANIC
(BREDASDORP)
 
 
Requirements:
· Grade 10 with qualification as Diesel Mechanic
· Relevant five (5) years experience in the earth moving machines and trucks
· Experience in maintenance and repairs of small plant
· Additional experience in auto electrics and/or hydraulics and/or air brakes system will be an advantage
· Valid Code EC driver’s license with a Public Driver’s Permit (PDP) or if not in possession, it will be expected of the preferred candidate to obtain a valid code EC driver’s license with a PDP, within 6 months after appointment
· Applicants must be literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
 
Duties:
· The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all road construction plant and vehicles
 
Remuneration: (T11 = R279 552 – R 362 868 per annum) plus the normal fringe benefits of a Local Authority.
