Duties and responsibilities:
● Á recognised REQV 13 qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Purchasing or related field. ● Three years working experience in supply chain management. Knowledge of GRAP 12, Supply Chain management regulations, Public finance management Act, National Treasury regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and Inventory Management policy. Good communication (verbal and written), problem solving and computer skills (MS Office packages). ● Ability to work independently without continues supervision. ● Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Understanding of supply chain processes and procedures and the impact that logistics has on the delivery of goods and services. ● Understanding of the legislative requirements relating to purchasing of goods and services. Requirements, experience and skills 
● Oversee the process of purchase orders. ●Recording items that have been received and items that have been issues. ● Monitoring inventory levels. ●Follow up outstanding commitment. ● Safeguard and maintain a filling system for documents. ● Liaise with end users/store officials. ● Address queries, providing advice and guidance as and when required. ● Review prices and upload inventory. ● Allocate item identification numbers for commodities/items. ● Implement inventory techniques and determine stock level. ● Ensure accurate inventory for the college. ● Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices. ●Coordinate and facilitate quarterly and annual inventory/stock taking. ● Investigate stock discrepancies and get approval to adjust stock. ● Attend to audit queries. ● Assist in the risk identification, monitoring and reporting. ● Supervise all the duties of the logistics staff. ● Administer the leave of absence and the attendance register of logistic staff. ● Ensure continuous improvement of the section performance by revising working procedures and keep up to date with the latest best practice
