REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of a recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Business Administration / Information NQF Level 7as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), coupled with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, at a Senior Management (SMS) level, within an Information Technology environment, with a proven track record in project and contract management. DUTIES : Overall strategic management and oversight of the Chief Directorate; Oversee the provisioning of Information Technology support services within the Northern Cape Provincial Government; Drive the development of the Provincial e-government and ICT policy and strategy. Promote the effective utilisation and management of information and technology as strategic resources, to enhance operations and accelerate service delivery. Manage the implementation of transversal or shared solutions, systems and infrastructure, hardware, software and services. REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Management/Public Administration or equivalent qualification coupled with 3 to 5 years’ experience in Office Management, Public Administration. Competencies: The following key competencies and skills are required for the position: Extensive knowledge of the functioning of Provincial Government, Data Management Systems, Batho Pele operations, Knowledge of the Financial Procurement systems and the relevant policies and record keeping.
