Key Performance areas:• Plan and implement the management and monitoring of ad fauna, such as predators management, game removals, introductions, annual census and surveys • Plan at implement vegetation management programmes • Plan and implement security programmes for at movable and fixed assets in the protected area • Manage subordinates • Undertake administration, budget control and compliance.
 
Requirements: A Grade 12 plus a 3-year tertiary qualification in Wed& Resources and Management, or relevant equivalent qualification • At least 5 years' experience within natural resources management • Good interpersonal gigs • Self-discipline • Good Manning sells • The ability to work unsupervised • Strong leadership qualities • Good written and verbal communication skills.
 
 
 
Reserve Manager

Key performance areas: • Develop an annual business plan and budget in line with the Reserve Management Plan • Develop an anti-poaching programme in consultation with the Resource Security Office and Regime' Manager • Develop and implement equipment and infrastructure maintenance plans • Develop an annual wildlife and monitoring plan • Monitor wildlife • Manage subordinates • Promote liaison and neighbour relations.
 
Requirements:   • A Grade 12 plus a 3-year tertiary qualification in Nature Conservation/Environmental Sciences or relevant equivalent qualification • At least 5 years' experience in the conservation and/or eco-tourism environment al supervisory level within the protected area environment and within field-related duties • Sound t knowledge of labour relations • Knowledge of relevant environmental and financial legislative framework

Field Ecologist
Madikwe Game Reserve
Total remuneration package: R379 968 per annum (Peromnes Grade 08)
 
Key performance areas: • Maintain a database for climate, removals culling as well as mortality recoils • Maintain a database of vegetation monitoring programmes • Manage predators in respect of Ions, spotted hyenas, wild dogs, cheetahs, leopards and brown hyenas • Provide ecological advice to park management with regard to the setting and impact of new development (such as roads, fens, lodges, water distribution), veld management tourist management and offer park management issues • Geminate and implement will and other ecological monitoring programmes as identified • Continuously liaise, through park management, with concessionaires, meet and communities with respect to wildlife management • Manage the subsection, including the Budgeting and Asset Register according to the Board's Finance and Administration Policy.
 
Requirements:• A Grade 12 plus a recognised National Diploma in Conservation, or an appropriate & equivalent qualification • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of terrestrial ecological management • Strong communication sides (written and verbal • Good planning and administrative skills • The ability to work unsupervised • Extensive computer literacy.

Key performance areas:• Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes • Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and office space • Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations • Manage schedules and deadlines • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material, with attention to budgetary constraints • Monitor costs and woes to assist in budget preparation • Oversee facilities services maintenance activities and tradespersons • Organise and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovation event planning, etc.) • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations • Keep abreast with at organisational changes and business developments.
 
Requirements:• A BSc/BA in Business Administration en related field • Proven experience as an administration manager • An in-depth understanding of office management procedures and NWPB and legal policies • Familiarity with financial and facilities management principles • Proficient in MS Office • An analytical mind • Problem-solving skills • Excellent organising and multitasking abilities • A team player, with leadership skills • A valid Code 08 driver’s licence is a prerequisite.
 
 


Manager: Occupational Health & Safety

Total remuneration package: R505 386 per annum (Peromnes Job Grade 06)
 
Key performance areas:  • Prepare strategies, develop internal policies and operational procedures, and lead in-house training with managers and employees for health and safety issue and environmental risks • Conduct regular site inspections to check that policies and procedures are being properly implemented, documenting findings and making recommendations  and/or changes to working practices to increase safety and compliance with legislation • Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks can be reduced • Keep records of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for Management • Monitor the reporting of Injury on Duty cases and facilitate IOD compensations • Keep up-to-date with new legislation and another developments that may affect the industry • Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances • Assist in aiming the safe installation of equipment • Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
 
Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other safety-related field • 3-5 years' experience, preferably in an SHE-environment • Detailed knowledge of OHSAS 14000, 18000 and 9001 • An understanding of the health information system • Extensive knowledge of OHS legislation • Knowledge of SHE risk assessment processes • Detailed knowledge of South African health and safety legislation as well as occupational safety concepts • Experience in project management • Computer literacy • Auditing knowledge and skills • Computer literacy • Extremely accurate and professional • A valid Code 08 drives licence is a prerequisite.

Requirements: • An Honours degree in Environmental and Sustainable Development and Agriculture or Development Studies • A teaching qualification will be an added advantage • A minimum of 4 years' experience in community development or a similar environment • Self-motivation • The ability to implement proactive solutions and maintain effective working relationship with communities • Fluency a provincial languages • Presentation skills • A valid Code 08 driver’s licence is a prerequisite.

Key performance areas:• Conduct needs analysis to determine all education, training and development needs of employees • Compile the Mandatory Grant Plan (MGP) and Annual Training Plan (ATP) to ensure refunds from the SETA are forthcoming • Liaise with relevant learning Institutions on matters pertaining to training and development • Coordinate and arrange training courses and interventions • Coordinate and facilitate Internships, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Bursaries • Facilitate and coordinate the Study Assistance Programme • Develop, monitor and evaluate Skills Development policies and procedures • Perform office administrator and keep-up-to-date records of training and development interventions.
 
Requirements:• A Grade 12 plus a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management • At least 3 years' experience a Training and Development field • Facilitation/presentation skills • Extensive knowledge of SAQA, NQF, SDA, SDLA BCEA and all other labour legislation • A high level of computer literacy • In-depth knowledge of ABET • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • The ability to communicate at all levels • Interpersonal and project management skills •A valid Code 08 driver’s licence is a prerequisite.
