This is an opportunity to help create a caring value driven heritage institution of knowledge and excellence. The successful candidate will be based at Ingquza Hill Museum in Bizana, Eastern Cape.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide Security service and related duties for the protection and maintenance of the site
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Duties:
- Protect the site from authorised entry
- Provide access control service on site
- Register on the entry book personnel entering and leaving the site
- Report incident happening on site to the immediate supervisor
- Maintain an updated register of all emergency services
- Provide outstanding customer experience by interacting with all museum visitors
- Providing information regarding other services offered by the museum
- Ensure the tourist information books are always available at the museum entrance
- Act as first aider (subject to training)
- Provide a receptionist support to the Museum
- Report any museum artefacts or exhibition damage (including lights, equipment, air conditioning etc)
- Assist at special functions, events and visits
- Know and understand emergency evacuation areas on site

- Be able to speak local language and at least English language
Qualifications
- A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Qualification in security: Grade C, D, or E
- Must be PSIRA Registered
- Applicants should be committed, hardworking and must be able to work long hours and under pressure.
- Applicants must have good interpersonal relations and verbal communication
- 1 year’ experience in security industry will be an added advantage

GENERAL ADMINISTRATOR
Remuneration Package: R6 000-00 per month
Duration :12 months
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide administrative support to the activities of Ingquza Hill Museum.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Duties:
- Render a secretariat service for the Museum activities
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the budget for running the Museum
- Assist in requesting for quotes for services to be rendered on the site
- Facilitate and coordinate all logistical support as required
- Resource: update, communicate sites needs with management
- Information and records management services in the Museum
- Taking minutes meeting and keep records
- Track and monitor projects tasks within the Museum
- Compile monthly statistics and reports
- Welcome visitors
- Provider tour guiding services as and when required
- Perform adhoc work as required

Qualifications
- A National Diploma in Community development/Social Sciences or any related qualification.

CLEANER/RECEPTIONIST

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide receptionist support to the Ingquza Hill Museum and perform other duties to maintain Museum’s building and its surroundings clean and neat.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Duties:
- Provide receptionist support to the Ingquza Hill Museum
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings by performing various cleaning duties which includes but not limited to dusting and waxing office furniture.
- Sweeping, scrubbing and waxing of floors, vacuuming and shampooing floors.
- Cleaning walls, windows and doors; collecting and removing of waste papers.
- Freshen the office areas, clean the whole building, bathrooms, and basins
- Clean kitchen utensils, empty and wash waste bins and send recyclables to disposal area.
- Perform other duties to maintain facilities in the Museum’s building and keep its surrounding clean and neat.
- Remove unwanted grass and trees around and within the building
