TASK Grade 12 (R422 724 – R587 724 per annum)

 Qualifications and experience required: 
  • Recognized qualification in Information Technology (preference will be given to application development qualifications and/or competencies in, but not limited to, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AngularJS, Microsoft C#, Restful Web Services, ORM Frameworks (EF), .NET Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS, IIS, Database Design, OOP and SDLC.
  • Four years’ relevant experience in the Information Technology field, with extensive programming and analysis exposure.
  • Computer literacy. 
 
Key attributes and competencies: 
  • Analytical, technical and communication skills in assessing, understanding and delivering business requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges. 
 
Special conditions associated with the position: 
  • Required to be on standby after hours to minimise unavailability of applications to the users.
  • Required to work overtime to meet user deadlines and to resolve time-critical problems. 
 
Job purpose: 
  • Developing and maintaining municipal application systems utilising HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AngularJS, Microsoft C#, Restful Web Services, ORM Frameworks (EF), .NET Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS, IIS, Database Design, OOP and SDLC.
  • Interacting with the business and internal Team Leader to ascertain, understand and deliver the exact business requirement.
  • Participating in Joint Requirement Planning, and Joint Application Development sessions.
  • Designing and/or modifying Entity Relationship Diagrams.
  • Assisting in user training.
  • Modifying and enhancing applications throughout the application system lifecycle.




As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
