Job purpose:
Managing the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the provision of the Municipality’s printing requirements, including the printing of agendas, reports, circulars, invoice books, colour work, water and lights statements through the valuable data network, in accordance with laid down policies and procedures, reviewing and participating in the planning of short- to long-term operational goals, aligning printing systems to facilitate effective printing service.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.

- Computer literacy – Office applications.
- Three years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a printing field.
- A valid Code B driver’s licence.

- The ability to communicate complex and technical information effectively and responsibly.
- Supervisory and report-writing skills.
- Sound knowledge of financial and operational controls.
- Broad knowledge of the procurement processes.
- The ability to direct and control the outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the printing section.

Qualifications and experience required:
- Trade test certificate as an Artisan.
- A valid Code C1 driver’s licence with Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- One to two years’ relevant experience.
Attributes and competencies attached to the position:
- Must be physically fit and able-bodied.
The physical attributes associated with this post necessitates that the incumbent is physically fit and able-bodied to perform the relevant functions, and as such, shortlisted candidates will be required to submit themselves to the Municipal Medical Doctor to be medically examined as part of the selection process.
Special conditions attached to the position:
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to be on standby.
- Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.
Job purpose:
Co-ordinating and controlling the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialised tasks/activities associated with the installation, maintenance and repair to water reticulation mains, municipal plumbing and meters, including monitoring and correcting the productivity and performance output of support personnel, and attending to routine general administrative duties. Recording requirements to ensure downtime and disruptions is minimised, contributing positively toward sustaining acceptable service delivery standards.

Qualifications and experience required:
- A three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Two to five years’ relevant experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.
- Post-graduate qualification in Organisational Development is an added advantage.
- It would be an added advantage for the incumbent to possess his/her own vehicle for which a locomotion allowance will be paid as per the relevant policy.
Key attributes and competencies:
- Understanding of municipal priorities, goals, policies, procedures, and issues impacting on service delivery.
- Display thorough knowledge of subject matter and can communicate at various levels.
- Ability to understand the change drivers, the complexities associated with it and provide clarity.

Duties:
- Conduct organisational development (OD) investigation and obtain approval thereof.
- Contribute to the development of staff establishment in line with strategic objectives of the institution.
- Co-ordinate alignment of staff establishment with the service delivery model and the budget.
- Conduct functional investigation and/or work measurement.
- Develop, design productivity activities, and provide support and coaching advice to employees.
Job purpose:
Rendering a management support function by carrying out investigations in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness on delivery of services, productivity and make recommendations on the best line of action.
