Qualifications and experience required:
- Qualified Electrician.
- One-year relevant experience.
Key attributes and competencies:
- Must be physically fit and healthy and able to perform manual operations and duties on foot - is required to lift or carry weights or loads between 5 and 20 kg, e.g. equipment, ladders and poles and to climb and work on towers and poles (should be able to work in confined spaces or elevated positions and withstand acrophobia).
- Must be able to cope with working under environmental conditions that are physically stressful such as excessive noise, bad light, varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Works according to pre-determined deadlines when electricity interruptions must be restored. Must work overtime when required and render standby duty on a roster basis.
- Sight, speech and hearing ability (test for colour blindness is required).
