MUSEUM ACCOUNTANT: NON- FINANCIAL REPORTING
DPSA Level: State Accountant
Location: Bloemfontein
Purpose of the Position
The Performance Reporting Accountant is responsible for preparing, maintaining and reporting on the Museum’s Non- Financial Performance Information in accordance with all applicable legislation. Governance, Compliance and Risk Management Functions associated with Non- Financial Reporting.

1. Preparing and Maintaining Non- Financial Performance Information
2. Coordination of Reporting and Audit of Non- Financial Information
3. Governance, Compliance and Risk Management Support
4. Administration and General
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
1. NQF Level 7 qualification in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or Law
2. Certification: Advanced excel and PowerPoint certification
3. Code B motor vehicle driver’s license
4. Skills: High level computer literacy; Report Writing and Preparation of Presentations
5. Experience: Minimum of 36 months of experience in performance reporting either financial /or non-financial/or auditing / or Finance.
6. Some Risk Management experience
7. Ability to work under pressure; Good interpersonal relations skills; Good written and verbal skills.

WORK BASED EXPERIENCE (WBE): OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH X 2
(18 months fixed term contract)
Purpose of Position
The purpose of this WBE is to give an opportunity to out of unemployed out of school youth (18 -35) to obtain work experience in the entry level position of general assistant.
NB: The applicants must be strictly based in Mangaung and surrounding areas.
Salary: Monthly stipend will be paid
Qualifications, Knowledge and abilities
Minimum: Grade 10 or N3
Advantageous: Consumer Studies at school
Only unemployed out of school youth based in Mangaung
Youth with a disability that is suitable for these Key Performance Areas
The candidate will be employed for the purpose of being trained and gaining work experience in an entry level position. The candidate is therefore responsible for the following Performance Areas
Provide refreshment for visitors and events
Layout cutlery and crockery and food in a hygienic manner
Clean Museum heritage objects and help with stock counts
Clean museum and storage areas according to curatorial standards.
Clean museum objects such as furniture, using cleansers, solvents, soap solutions, and polishes.
Cleaning of offices, bathrooms and kitchens that include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
Provide support and assistance with general administration, exhibitions, projects and events, educational workshops and activities. This will include after hour events.
