CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR A SUITABLE CANDIDATE TO SERVE AS MEMBER ON THE BOARD OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH LABORATORY SERVICE IN TERMS OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH LABORATORY SERVICE ACT, 2000 (ACT NO. 37 OF 2000)
The National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) is established in terms of the National Health Laboratory Service Act, 2000 (Act No. 37 of 2000) (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) to provide quality, affordable and sustainable health laboratory and public health service.
The Honourable Minister of Health, Dr M.J Phaahla, hereby invites all interested persons to submit nominations of a suitable candidate to be considered for appointment to serve as a Board member of the NHLS in the following category, for a three (3) year term of office:
One nominee to be appointed on account of his/her knowledge and experience in legal matters.

Nomination particulars: Nominations must be made on a nomination form obtainable from the National Health Laboratory Service website www.nhls.ac.za under CAREERS or Department of Health website at www.health.gov.za under VACANCIES. Kindly note that the nomination form also outlines the requirements, disqualification criteria and the remuneration of members of the NHLS Board.
Closing date for nominations: Nominations must be addressed to the Director-General, Department of Health, and marked for the attention of the Director: Public Entities Governance and submitted via email at nominations@health.gov.za.
