The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture that was created to ensure the equitable growth of South Africa's film and video industry. We do this by providing funding for the development, production, marketing and distribution of films and the training and development of filmmakers. In addition, the NFVF commissions research and produces industry statistics that provide both the public and stakeholders with valuable insights into the South African film & video industry.
Position: Human Resources Officer
Reporting to: Head: Human Resources
Job Ref: RECR/HRO 001
To provide Human Resource administrative support and to coordinate Human Resource initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources Management;
- 2-3 years of Human Resources experience;
- Payroll experience highly advantageous;
- Solid knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act and Skills Development Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll administration;
- Provide HR administration support;
- Implement recruitment and induction process;
- Implement training and development initiatives;
- Implement performance management;
- Implement employee wellness programmes;
- Implement employee benefit programmes;
- Implement Health and Safety;
- Coordinate staff / internal events.
Requirements:
- HR generalist experience;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong people management skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Maintain high level of confidentiality;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Practical knowledge of the Public Sector;
- Financial Awareness;
