Establish systems to improve customer engagement on HR issues at the District. Supervise staff and manage their performance according to the PMS. Manage the Chief Directorate expenditure in line with Cash Flow, Operational plan, Procurement plan and Departmental Strategy. Advise Budget Holders on accruals and the impact thereof. Ensure that the spending is in line with the Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA). Reprioritize budget allocations, interpret branch spending, BAS reports, and identify budget pressures and budget savings. Monitor and manage the budget spending of the Chief Directorate and analyze the spending patterns. Manage the monthly compilation of the Matlotlo Report. DUTIES : Comment on and implement policy, manage and expand inclusive education support services. Conduct psycho-educational assessments, write appropriate reports and provide feedback on assessments conducted. Be an active member of the District Based Support Team (DBST), facilitate appropriate placements for learners, design and develop learning and developmental programmes including intervention programmes and Individual Support Plans for learners experiencing barriers to learning. Monitor and support implementation of development programmes. Support and facilitate specific placement of learners e.g. learners in Child and Youth Care Centres (CYCC), Member of the Executive Council (MEC) and Head of Department (HOD) Appeals as well as complaints. DUTIES: Provide leadership to the Business Unit. Develop systems to ensure the implementation of SASA and related policies regarding school governance and management. DUTIES : Coordinate the registration and deregistration of independent schools, Manage the closure of illegally operating schools, Coordinate monitor subsidies for independent schools, Coordinate and manage the registration and deregistration Home Education learners, Ensure Effective Monitoring and Evaluation of Independent Schools, Manage and facilitate the establishment and effective functioning of governance, academic and management structures in respect of Independent schools. Manage school information systems in Independent schools. Manage the development and ensure the implementation of policy, planning and monitoring procedures in Independent Schools. Facilitate the management and effective functioning of governance, leadership and management structures and co-ordinate the training of school governance and management structures. Develop a standardized system on school improvement planning. Intervene in poorly performing schools and introduce change management systems. Supervise and manage Subordinates and other participants in the sub-Directorate activities. Disseminate information to all stakeholders and report activities. Adhere to and promote statutory prescripts and constitutional imperatives in all independent schooling sector. Ensure compliance with National Policy Frameworks. Report to and participate in all appropriate provincial and other structures and processes.

Manage the human and physical and financial resources to provide efficient and effective curriculum support to schools. DUTIES Responsible for the effective initiation, planning, designing, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of all Moderation and Quality Assurance processes. DUTIES To recommend effective and appropriate steps to prevent unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure in terms of the PFMA. To oversee the procuring of goods and services per supply chain management, for the activities of the Chief Directorate Examinations and Assessment. To oversee the costing of operational plans, splits to Districts and the three Directorates within the Chief Directorate. To reprioritize budget allocations, interpreted branch spending, BAS reports, identify budget pressures and budget savings. To monitor and manage the budget spending of the Chief Directorate and analyze the spending patterns to deal with the financial matters of the Chief Directorate (Overtime submissions, tender specifications, virement requests, processing of claims of Markers, Examiners and providers). To manage monitor and coordinate personnel matters of the Procurement and Financial matters, section staff attached to the office of the Chief Director. To liaise with relevant role players e.g. Department of Finance(GSSC), Directorate Finance, Procurement, Service Providers, Unit Heads, Districts, UMALUSI and DoE etc. To prepare Matloto reports and conduct pre-Matlotlo meetings with the Directors within the chief Directorate.
