COMPANY SECRETARY INTERN – 12 MONTHS CONTRACT

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organisation’s Company Secretary Department
JOB OBJECTIVES
• Assist in ensuring the travel and accommodation arrangements for Board and Board Committee meetings.
• Liaise with Supply Chain and the travel agency on booking venues, travel, and accommodation for Board members.
• Communicate with the Board and Board Committee members on travel arrangements and provide accurate confirmation documents.
• Assist with ensuring that special requirements such as meeting equipment and catering, stationery availability etc.
• Prepare board fees in line with attendance registers and obtain relevant approval.
• Prepare and circulate individual member fee claims.
• Liaise with finance for payment of board fees.
• Reconcile board fees to payroll, ledger and banks statement.
• Support Company Secretary with all office administration tasks.
• Assist with ad hoc assignments as and when required.
• Training as a Company Secretary within a Company Secretarial Function and providing cover for the team in the absence of other members.
• Ad hoc project support in order to support the delivery of the Secretarial Services Team objectives.
Education: Formal Qualifications
Education involves the acquisition of knowledge and skills through learning where subject matter is imparted systematically. Formal qualifications are obtained by studying at formal institutions e.g. universities, Technikons, colleges, etc.
Level of Education:
Minimum: • NQF Level 6 CGISA qualification
Ideal: • NQF level 7 CGISA qualification

Experience is obtained through opportunities for exposure and practice at work. It includes all working experience that has some bearing on the job and is not restricted to the current organisation. Supervised on-the-job training, internships and learnerships are incorporated within this category.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To perform asset verification for the organisation
JOB OBJECTIVES
• Perform asset verification and submit progress and final report.
• Print the inventory list and issue the list to the asset holder.
• Perform asset condition assessment for all NEMISA assets.
• Follow-up on missing or lost assets.
• Barcode all assets that are without barcodes.
• Compile the disposal list for damaged and missing assets.
• Locate newly purchased assets on the floor to determine the barcode number of the assets and allocate to the current year additions.
• Perform the asset verification in line with the project plan
• Update assets register when required.
Education: Formal Qualifications
