Customer Service Officer
Paterson grade C3
Remuneration package: R528 944 per annum (Cost to Council)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 and a B degree in Customer Relationship Management OR Public Relations Management OR Communication Science OR Marketing Management.
3 years’ experience in customer relationship management.
1 years’ experience in coordinating research.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Communication (writing, verbal and listening) skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Understanding of relevant legislations.
Good customer service skills.
General knowledge of broader environment (political, economic, and social, etc).
Understanding of the key roles of corporate organisation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Coordinate all Inter – Departmental meetings to manage issues that may affect service delivery and issues emanating from service delivery.
Provide reports to an agreed schedule (or on request), detailing number of service delivery complaints/ compliments and handling timeframes.
Conduct research for Roadshows and Symposia and Professional Boards Stakeholder Engagement Satisfaction Surveys.
Ensure Service Delivery Charters are up to date, implemented and monitored meeting the needs of both business and expectations from clients.
Coordinate the sourcing and management of research service providers for the Client Satisfaction Survey.
Ensure external communication updates throughout the escalation process.
Proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect customer service delivery.
Provide the survey findings to relevant divisions/ departments for possible implementation.
Manage, respond, and finalise complaints and compliments received on the Service Delivery mailbox.
Develop and communicate an escalation process for complaints with timeframes.
Assist with the Reception area and any other duties that may be assigned.

INVITATION TO SERVE AS A SPECIALIST MEMBER OF THE REMUNERATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (REMCO) OF HPCSA (x1 MEMBER)
REQUIREMENTS
• Must not be employed by or do business with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
• Must have a relevant National Diploma or Degree in HR/ Commerce/ Industrial Psychology/ Social Science.
• The following professional qualifications would be advantageous: Psychometrics or Global Reward/ Remuneration Practitioner.
• Formal training in Remunerations and Benefits fundamentals.
• 10 years’ experience in remuneration environment (salary benchmarking, design, policy formulation), and understanding of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to employee benefits.
• 5 years’ experience in reviewing, implementing, and maintaining efficient processes and systems.
• Experience in project management or leadership and providing report to executive management.
THE ROLE OF REMUNERATION SPECIALIST MEMBER OF REMUNERATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE WILL BE TO:
• To provide strategic oversight to Council, subject-matter expertise, consult and resolve reward issues as per market trends, surveys legislation and equity issues.
• Provide input in the development of long- and short-term plans (e.g. policies, procedures, staffing) for the purpose of ensuring that organisational objectives are achieved in the most efficient and timely manner.
• Provide advice to Remuneration Committee and Council in the revision processes of salary matters for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices for the purpose of ensuring that salary adjustments are correct.
• In partnership with HR, respond to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information to identified issues.
• Participate in meetings that involve a range of issues by providing advice to Remuneration Committee and Council, including the negotiating of collective agreements, benefits and compensation policies on behalf of the employer.
• Advice Committee and Council on salary increase requests and overseeing the management of pension and saving plans.
• Must be prepared to meet as often as required, but at least 4 times a year, and must be flexible with regard to times.
