SIX MONTH CONTRACT POSITION
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Salary Package: R45 000 (TCTC) per month.
Nedlac is looking for a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Specialist for a period of six months to provide specialist SCM advice and support.
Key performance areas;
• Develop and implement protocols and procedures in line with Nedlac’s SCM policy.
• Develop and execute an integrated SCM strategy in line with the organisational strategy.
• Direct and proactively provide oversight to the development of a procurement plan for Nedlac as well as strategic reporting in line with requirements and guidelines of National Treasury.
• Direct and proactively provide oversight to manage the SCM Operational Strategies (SCM Functional Value Chain and SCM Committees)
• Assist and guide the SCM staff at Nedlac in the completion of current procurement processes so that they are better skilled after the six month period.
• Develop specifications for identified transversal contracts for Nedlac and initiate the procurement processes in this regard.
• Implement improvements as indicated in the Auditor General reports for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years.
• Operational effectiveness through efficient management and organisational skills.
Qualifications and experience required:
• NQF Level 8 (Post-graduate Diploma/Honour’s Degree) qualification in Procurement/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Member of the CIPS will be an advantage
• At least 5 years’ experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management of which 3 (three) years must have been at a management level
• High level of understanding of Supply Chain Management Processes in the public sector
• Excellent writing skills
