VACANCY FOR CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Salary Package: R1 251 183 - R1 476 000 (TCTC) per annum
Nedlac is looking for a Chief Financial Officer who would be responsible to manage the organisation’s finances in line with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), relevant Treasury Regulations and the organisation’s policies and procedures. The post is located in Johannesburg.
Key performance areas
• Manage the finance, accounting and reporting functions and systems of Nedlac including:
- Financial accounting
- Statutory reporting
- Management accounting and management reporting,
- Contract administration,
- Audit and risk management
- Facility and asset management.
• Lead and manage the Nedlac Finance Department.
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Implement all relevant financial policies and procedures
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of the organisation
• Oversee payroll and benefits administration
• Co-ordinate the internal and external audit processes of Nedlac
• Oversee facility management at Nedlac
• Oversee information technology at Nedlac
• Promote sound financial management and compliance with the PFMA and Treasury Regulations
• Provide strategic support and guidance to the Executive Director of Nedlac
Qualifications and experience required:
• BCom (Accounting degree) or equivalent
• At least seven years’ experience at senior level in financial management
• Experience in government would be an advantage
• Significant knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and other government legislation and regulation
• Conversant with relevant accounting standards.
