​NOMINATION FOR CANDIDATES TO BE APPOINTED BY THE MINISTER OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AS MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
 
 REQUEST FOR NOMINATIONS
The Minister of Social Development invites applications from suitably qualified persons for service as members of the Board of the National Development Agency.
 
In terms of the provisions of Section 5(2) of the National Development Agency Act, 1998 (Act No 108 of 1998) as amended nominations are hereby requested for candidates to be appointed by the Minister to serve on the Board.
 
Thie Minister will consider candidates with proven experience in fostering good governance, understanding of the legislative and policy framework applicable to the NDA as well as exceptional understanding of global and government initiatives on poverty eradication.
 
Nominated Civil Society Representatives should have competencies in one or more of the following disciplines:
  • NGO Networks and Consortia on a full time basis.
  • Social Development Sector.
  • Applied research and policy analysis related to poverty eradication.
  • Resource mobilisation and grant funding.
  • Membership of interdepartmental group of faith based leadership.
  • Financial management. CA qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Corporate Governance.
  • Project Management.




​Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will enhance representivity. Candidates will be subject to security clearance and disclosure of business interests. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only.
 
Each nomination shall be lodged with the Department by post or hand by not later than 15 AUGUST 2025. A Nomination Form is available on www.dsd.gov.za

A Nomination which does not comply with the above-mentioned requirements by the closing date will be invalid.
