NATIONAL CREDIT REGULATOR (NCR)
The National Credit Regulator (NCR) was established as the regulator under the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 (the Act) and is responsible for the regulation of the South African credit industry. It is tasked with carrying out education, research, policy development, registration of industry participants, i.e. credit providers, credit bureaux, alternative dispute resolution agents, payment distribution agents and debt counsellors, investigation of complaints, and enforcement of the Act.
The Act requires the NCR to promote the development of an accessible credit market, particularly to address the needs of historically disadvantaged persons, low income persons, and remote, isolated or low density communities.
The NCR invites applications from suitable candidates for the following position:
Personal Assistant to the NCR Executive Team
Paterson Grade: C-upper
Salary ranges from R253 900 – R482 400 maximum
Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a relevant 3 year Degree/National Diploma coupled with 8 years working experience. 5 years of which as a personal assistant to senior management. Experience in a legal or regulatory environment will be an added advantage.
Drivers licence and own vehicle.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the Executive Team’s diary (including CEO and Deputy CEO).
Ensuring that meeting invitations are issued to relevant parties timeously and preparing meeting packs.
Ensuring timeous distribution and receipt of meeting packs, minutes and agendas.
Screening of telephone calls, appointment and e-mails.
Maintaining confidentiality of documents and correspondence.
Ensuring that the Executive Team has relevant documentation for meetings.
Creating and preparing presentation material
Organizing travel and hotel bookings for the Executive Team, the Audit and Risk Management Committee and other key stakeholders
Coordinating of special projects as assigned by the Executive Team.
Providing general administrative support.
Schedule public appearance for the Executive Team and ensure that parties involved are notified on time.
Knowledge:
Good command of official languages, especially English.
The candidate must be computer literate (complete MS Office package).

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT) MANAGER
Paterson Grade: D-Upper
Salary ranges from R 646 500 – R 1 228 400 Maximum
Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the ICT environment, of which five (5) years should be in ICT project implementation. DPSA ICT governance framework and regulatory experience will be an added advantage.
Duties:
Develop a three (3) year IT strategy and budget plan aligned with the overall NCR strategy.
Manage the ICT Department which includes: developing the departmental business plan, and performance management of employees;
Manage the ICT infrastructure and assets of the organisation;
Provide ICT support to all departments and the EXCO;
Oversee and engage in ICT- related procurement processes;
Develop, implement and monitor the ICT Risk register;
Develop, implement and maintain appropriate policies compliant with legislation.
Ensure that Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Services are developed, implemented and maintained.
Budget planning, allocation and monitoring of expenditure in accordance with strategic objectives and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
Cooperation with internal and external auditors and addressing audit findings;
Develop and maintaining network security systems.
Oversee the implementation and integration of all ICT projects.
Managing all ICT contracts
Any other duties commensurate to the position and relevant to ICT as and when required by the NCR

Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a national diploma, degree or have relevant experience in a credit information environment of not less than seven (5) years
Knowledge of the credit information and financial services sector
Project management experience
Duties:
Provide leadership, coordination and management of the credit information projects for the NCR
Manage and provide oversight over the design of projects scopes and deliverables
Participate in all existing projects, and provide management, leadership and oversight
Manage the NCR staff involvement and participation in projects
Stakeholder management and relationships
Participate in relevant committees, structures and podiums
Implement project specific systems
Manage implementation of change management during introduction of project systems
Assist with the management of the deployment of ICT solutions
Manage budget and staff allocated for projects
Knowledge:
Knowledge of credit information environment, frameworks, architecture and strategy
