The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) is calling for nominations and applications to fill several vacancies within the entities under the Executive Authority of the Minister.
 
Call for nominations: Full-Time Members on the Competition Tribunal (CompTrib) Board of Directors of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation of South Africa SOC Limited (ECIC) Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Board of Trustees of the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) Members of the National Gambling Board (NGB) Members of the National Lotteries Commission Distributing Agency (NLC DA) Members of the South African Bureau of Standards Board (SABS) Members of the South African National Accreditation System Board (SANAS) Members of the South African Council for Space Affairs (SACSA) Members of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Advisory Board Members of the Takeover Regulation Panel (TRP)

Nomination Procedure: Applications and Nominations must be submitted in writing and must contain the following information: Detailed curriculum vitae that includes membership of all boards the nominee currently serves on or has served on in the past, motivation for the appointment and certified copies of the identity document and qualifications obtained.
 
The following mandatory forms must be fully completed, signed, and submitted: Nomination and nomination acceptance form (Form 1A); Particulars of the nominee form (Form 1B); Consent form, Criminal record and indemnity declaration form; Register of interest information sheet.

Application Procedure: Applications must include a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), certified copies of the Identity Document, and qualifications obtained.
 
In addition: Background verification, including criminal record and citizenship checks, will form part of the selection process • It is the nominee’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications verified by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
