Requirements:
Financial Reporting, Analysis and Maintaining Accurate Records
• Provide administrative and financial research support for Nando’s Feitoria.
• Be involved in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable.
• May assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing insights into the company’s spending patterns and creditor obligations.
• Maintain meticulous records of all transactions related to the company’s creditors; this includes invoices, credit notes, statements, payment records, and any correspondence.
• Maintain an accurate record-keeping of invoices and supporting documents to ensure that payments are made for goods or services received.
• Assists in audits for sections that relate to their function.
• Ensure that purchase orders (PO) have been captured accurately.
• Liaise with the Procurement Department with regarding to the investigation and resolution of blocked invoices.
• Liaising with Procurement Department, Warehouse Staff, and Suppliers for GRV, Delivery & pricing issues.
• Upload bank transactions from the bank files into SAP.
• Prepare the vendor aging report and investigate amounts that have outstanding for longer than 60 days.
• Prepare the GR/IR reports and investigate amounts longer than 30days.
• Ensure that the balance both the Age Analysis & GR/IR Correspond to the period being reported.
• Ensure that the filing of payments is done timeously.
• Run the NSPO Listing monthly and send out the list the relevant departments to follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders.
• Post monthly Journals relating to NSPO listing and any manual accrual journals.
• Process correcting journals when the incorrect GL account and cost centre has been captured in SAP.
Invoice Processing and Reconciliation of Accounts
• Process invoices by verifying them against purchase orders and delivery notes as well as to ensure that the goods or services billed to Nando’s Feitoria were actually received and meet the agreed terms and conditions.
• Process accurately and timeously credit notes in SAP.
• Resolve any discrepancies, if any, before processing invoices for payment. This task requires a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of the company’s purchasing policies.
• Reconcile creditor statements by matching them with the company’s records to ensure consistency in processing, record-keeping, and potential fraud.
• Prepare creditors reconciliations on a regular basis as it helps to identify any issues early and keeps the company’s financial records in order.
• Investigate and close off discrepancies as they might indicate errors in payments.
• Assisting the finance department with any AD hoc requirements.
Payment Preparation and Execution
• Prepare payment lists for approval and execute them once approved; this includes scheduling payments to ensure they are made within the agreed credit terms, thereby avoiding late fees or penalties.
Internal Controls and Compliance
• Compliance with Financial Standards, and VAT Laws.
• Ensures that all transactions comply with the above requirements, including the proper handling of tax-related matters such as VAT on invoices. This reduces the risk of legal issues and penalties.
Liaising with Suppliers and Internal Departments
• Liaise with the suppliers to address queries related to payments, invoices, and contracts.
• Internally coordinate with the purchasing and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure that payment processes run smoothly.

- Creditors/accounts payable duties, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Sound Accounting Knowledge
- ERP systems experience in accounts payable is essential, preferably SAP.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a management — ideally within a consumer / hospitality, retail, or FMCG environment.

Pricing Methodology, Policies, Processes and Procedures:
• Develop, recommend and drive implementation of pricing methodologies to support the overall company goals
• Provide input into all existing Pricing policies, processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement within the business unit / company
• Provide input into menu pricing for budget purposes in line with supply chain strategy
Operational Management:
• Develop modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability
• Identify and recommend innovative pricing structures and sales funnels to limit the impact on the menu
• Develop measurement tools to identify market trends and perform competitor analysis
• Facilitate / Coordinate the supply and timeous availability of product information (Supply Chain, Casas, Inventory Management System etc.)
