Purpose of the Position:
To execute innovation ideas and improve, in favour of the customer, the business processes, business rules and SOPs. Communicate and remove redundancies within processes in order to attain higher service levels, increase operating profits and reduce tactical spend within the business.

Purpose of the Position
  • To take responsibility for the fixed assets processes, governance and reporting.
 
Key Performance Objectives
Governance, Controls & Policies
  • Take responsibility for the development, implementation and maintenance of robust controls, procedures and policies
  • Ensure relevant processes implemented and documented for all fixed assets and Revenue, Stock & Subsidy activities
  • Compile and update risk control matrix and ensure relevant controls implemented to mitigate these risks
  • Identification of control weaknesses and recommendations for improvements
  • Monitor compliance to accounting policies
  • Ensure compliance to policies, internal controls and external audits
  • Support internal audits and ensure that any findings are resolved
  • Ensure that all external audit findings are addressed and relevant controls/remediations are implemented
  • Assist in the improvement and development of processes and systems for accounting purposes
  • Work with cross functional teams within Shared Services and the business to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency in financial areas
  • Enforce governance of the Fixed Assets policy and recommend policy enhancements
  • Support the Finance Shared Services Innovation team in governance initiatives
 
Month end and Year end
  • Responsible for Fixed Assets and Revenue, Stock & Subsidy accounting
  • Responsible for the month end and year end reporting
  • Provide direction, oversight and management to the team
  • Ensure accuracy and completenss of fixed assets regiseter. Alignment to tax asset register
  • Work with business partners and other Finance Shared Services departments to ensure an accurate and efficient month end close for fixed assets and Revenue, Stock & Subsidies
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving journals and ensure accurate processing in SAP
  • Manage the monthly HFM process including Loading, Validations, Disclosures for fixed assets – Ensure fixed assets accurately reported in Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
  • Responsible for accurate lease accounting
  • Provide relevant Fixed Asset and Revenue, Stock & Subsidy repoting to business
  • Ensure that Balance Sheet accounts are accurately recorded and reconciled as per the reconciliation policy.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, ensure relevant supporting documentation to substantiate the balances, identify issues and action plans to resolve
  • Develop value added reports to provide to Finance Business Partners
  • Review reports prepared by the team and send them to the applicable Head of Finance
  • Resolve queries received from business partners
  • Consult with the Tax Team on applicable matters related to month end close
  • Support the Annual Financial Statement and Statutory Pack process. Provide relevant fixed assets disclosures
  • Manage external audit queries and assist auditors
  • Work with cross functional teams in the shared services and business to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency in financial areas
Operational
  • Socialise policies and procedures with business. Provide necessary support to guide the business
  • Develop and distribute relevant Fixed Assets and Revenue, Stock & Subsidy reports
  • Monthly meeting with various business units to understand requirements
  • Timely & relevant delivery of analysis, insight and actions
  • Drive and monitor KPIs and implement initiatives to ensure improvements. Ensure that all relevant and strategic KPIs are reported
  • Initiate and manage the improvement of processes
  • Standardisation of processes across the BUs.
  • Automation and streamlining of processes
General
  • Assist the Record to Report Senior Manager on strategic finance projects as determined by the Head of Finance Shared Services
  • Ad hoc projects that arise on a continuing basis
  • Analysis and financial modelling
  • Attend to business partner queries
  • Manage, improve and develop relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Consider the impact of solutions on other areas of Finance and the business, as well as the interdependency of units
  • Support the Finance Shared Services Innovation team on projects
 
Qualifications
  • BCom Honours in Accounting
 
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a similar role
 
Technical Competencies
  • Systematic and analytical skills
  • SAP system experience
  • Hyperion Financial Management
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Reporting experience would be advantageous

Purpose of the Position
  • To work closely with a CE and the music schedulers and team to create and produce content for the music channels.
 
Key Performance Objectives
Content Creation
  • Development of innovative new programmes taking into consideration the Channels positioning and strategy (in house and external)
  • Spot new trends and entertainment content, new territories, and approaches to contemporary programmes including the digital space.
 
Managing Commissioning Process
  • Manage the commissioning and production process of internal production from end to end
  • Ensure that all processes are followed from contracting to TX
  • Work closely with the team to curate the required playlist for scheduling
  • Assist with sifting of music videos.
  • Attend pitching session for music for your input.
  • Track performance of content as per the channel strategy and implement adjustments as required.
 
Manage Production
  • Manage designated production houses (in house and external) strictly to contractual deliverables and ensure all contracts agreements are signed prior to production.
  • View and give editorial input on all programmes at online and offline stage.
  • Ensure producers deliver programs and promotional material as per agreed schedule.
  • Ensure content is delivered on time for multiplatform.
Compliance and Governance
  • Ensure compliance with the BCCSA.
  • Ensure that all regulatory clearances (i.e. Music/location/talent) as set out by commissioning/licensing contract is secured.
Manage performance of commissioned Programmes
  • Monitor commissioned programme performance against set business targets.
  • Develop contingency plans where improvements are required.
Qualifications
  • A qualification in radio/television/media
Experience
  • Experience in the production space in radio or television or digital space
  • Extensive entertainment and broadcasting Industry knowledge and experience
  • An understanding of audiences
  • Knowledge of current and future content trends in the music and digital space
