POST: LEVEL 7

SALARY SCALE: R251 710.50 — R292 304,46 pa

QUALIFICATION: Grade 12, Higher Certificate in Fire Technology /Hazmat Awareness /First Aid Level 3 / Pump Operator /Aerial Appliance Qualification /Fire Service Instructor /Fire Officer 1 / Code EC
 
EXPERIENCE: 3 years' experience as a Supervisor in Fire Services
 
DUTIES:
1. Co-ordinates and takes command during incidents and other emergencies.
2. Evaluating the situation and communicating with the station Commander to confirm approach during unique/ major incidents. Issuing instruction and guidelines to the crew in respect of evacuating and making the area safe, firefighting and rescue operations and interacting with other emergency services in respect of the emergency
3. Conducting general office administration.
