EXPERIENTIAL LEARNER: RESEARCH

The Moses Kotane Institute is looking to appoint a suitably qualified experiential learner who is interested in gaining experience within the research field.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a valid Masters degree in Economics, Geography (with GIS) or Statistics, with a clear focus on socio-economic research or social sciences. At least two years’ experience in research-writing. Proficient user in one of the following statistical software (Stata, R-package, and Python)- Assessment test will be written. A valid Driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Dynamic and highly committed to working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to follow set deadlines, good verbal and writing skills; Good time and project management skills, and willing to work long hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct literature review, contribute towards drafting proposals, assist with leading data collection and data capturing, report writing, assist running online repositories and provide general administration support where required.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month fixed term contract, remunerated at R16 000.00 (TCOE)

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: AUDIT AND EVALUATION

The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) seeks to secure the services of an experienced and suitably qualified South African citizen to assist with auditing, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of MKI’s programmes, on an Independent Contractor capacity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
NQF level 7 qualification with internal auditing, monitoring and evaluation or any related fields. Qualification above level 7 may be an added advantage. Three years’ overall experience in audit and risk management. Driver’s license with own transport.
CORE COMPENTENCIES
Excellent computer skills, excellent report writing (numerical and narrative), excellent presentation skills, excellent communication skill, good interpersonal skills, great personality, energetic, innovative and have an ability to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the entity’s planning activities from various units. Monitor and evaluate performance of all programmes.
Perform a pre-internal audit function and keep records of all work in auditable format. Keep track on operational and performance risk management action plans. Manage resources of the function. Manage projects as necessary. Compile and distribute all relevant reports to relevant stakeholders, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) seeks to secure the services of an experienced and suitably qualified South African citizen to promote awareness and visibility of MKI programs on an Independent Contractor capacity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
NQF level 7, preferably with an English language major. At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Marketing, Branding or related. Relevant management role/s will be an added advantage. Driver’s license and own transport.
CORE COMPENTENCIES
Good written and verbal communication skills, innovative, strategic thinking, energetic, self-motivated. MS package including, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other relevant skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review of MKI Brand Visibility Strategy, procedure, and implementation plan. Brand activation and programs promotion. Content review on MKI communication. Editing of communication. Promote the MKI brand within available resources.
