DUTIES
Operations: -Responsible for operating heavy duty machine on landfill sites, transfer stations. -Spread out and compact waste as per the norms and standard and relevant Waste Management Licences Cell construction and closure. Hauling and stockpiling cover dirt, aggregates and other materials used in landfill operations. - Responsible for maintenance of access roads within the site to ensure efficient movement of vehicles -Responsible to execute daily works order received from the Site Supervisor and/ or Foreman. Fleet maintenance and Monitoring: -Inspecting equipment for defects and maintaining records of repairs performed. -Responsible for all equipment which are used in association with the position. Collaborating closely with Spotters to identify designated fill areas for incoming waste. Taking instructions from the Site Supervisor and management. Responsible for completing daily logbooks, reporting hours of operation and any incidents onsite. -Monitoring machinery functions such as oil levels and coolant levels to ensure safe operation.
Compliance with relevant legislations: -Ensure compliance to pre-determined compacting methods. -Coordinating with other workers to ensure that operations onsite meet safety standards.
