Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of General Ledger
Reconciliation Administrator in the Finance Department at our Head Office in Richards Bay. Reporting to the Assistant Financial Accountant, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the reconciliation of the General Ledger, cashbook, debtors including inventory recons and creditors ledger including payroll recons (GL-VIP)
 
Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • Reconcile the general ledger, cashbook, debtors including inventory recons and creditors ledger including payrolls recons (GL-VIP)
  • Compile, maintain and balance the general ledger monthly income statements, balance sheet and cash flow statement on the Business Intelligence tools to the financial system
  • Ensure that all schemes have been reconciled and balanced to funds invested
  • Create all accounts on the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
  • Ensure that the Inventory, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable and the Cash Book are balanced.
  • Ensure that all balance sheet and revenue accounts are balanced to the financial statements
    Maintain proper document management and control of all general ledger journals with supporting documents.

Requirements
  • Minimum of a Matric and a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Accounting or equivalent relevant qualification
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Financial Accounting.
  • An understanding of GRAP, PFMA and Treasury Regulations as well as Microsoft package and ERP system experience.
  • Excellent financial acumen, and the ability to work in a team, handle pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
