Metro Trading Company has the following short term contract opportunities for a period NOT exceeding twelve (12) months

Experience/Skills/Educational Requirements
Educational Requirements and Experience
• Degree with relevant post-graduate qualification / NQF level 8. Or Bachelor Degree in computer Science
• Ten (10) years' related experience of which five (5) years have been at Senior Management level in ICT / Telco environment
• Must have worked in or for Public Sector environment
• Strategic and Leadership direction.
• People Management
• Experience in Program and Project Management in excess of R50m.
• Financial Management, Change Leadership and Governance
 
 
Job Description:
• Responsible for development and maintenance of MTC's fibre Broadband infrastructure
• Manage staff and sub-contractors providing service to MTC.
• Develop standards for the delivery of infrastructure.
• Develop and implement ICT strategy and governance framework for MTC
• Provide leadership, planning and management for all areas of information technology
• Provide Innovative solutions to organization
• Manage the information technology budgets
• Develop business case for IT related initiatives
• Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization
• Management of information system acquisition
• Provide and present ICT performance reports
• Be responsible for the service delivery mandate of MTC
• Be accountable for the Service Level Agreements between MTC and Customers
• Assess and implement the migration of ICT services between MTC and City of Johannesburg
• Be responsible for the development of SMMEs
