CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: FIXED TERM PERFORMANCE-BASED CONTRACT – FIVE YEARS (P3) 
Provide strategic and operational leadership in line with the university’s approved strategic plan to ensure a financially viable university. Develop and implement policies. Manage the Finance department which consists of financial accounting, management accounting, procurement, stores, and financial aid. Manage the year end audit and ensure a clean audit opinion.

Minimum Requirements: 
• B.Com Honours in Accounting accompanied by considerable demonstrable financial experience. 
• CA or CIMA. 
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role or senior management position. 
 
Competencies:
• Understanding of PFMA. 
• Understanding of HE Act and reporting regulations for HE Institutions. 
• Knowledge of ITS. 
• Computer proficiency.

​DEPARTMENT OF SURVEY AND CIVIL ENGINEERING 

LABORATORY ASSISTANT (P14) – Ref: ES25 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
  • Prepare practicals for students. 
  • Stock control. 
  • Monitoring and updating the asset register. 
  • Conduct accurate inventory activities in the laboratories. 
  • Any other duties given to them by the Chief Industrial Technician. 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Three (3) year National Diploma/Diploma in Surveying/Geomatics. 
  • Three (3) years of relevant industrial experience in a Surveying/Geomatics environment. 
 
Recommendations:
  • Experience in commissioning/maintenance of Surveying Equipment. 
  • Must be familiar with civil engineering and Surveying software/equipment. 
 
Competencies:
  • Computer literacy. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
 
 
Salary Scale: R158 209.00 – R214 889.00 (P14) basic salary per annum
