REQUIREMENTS:National Diploma in Real Estate: Property Valuation/National Diploma in Real Estate. Valid registration as a Professional Valuer or Professional Associated Valuer with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession. 3-5 years minimum valuation experience. Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programmes. A valid driver’s licence (manual transmission).
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Conduct property valuations as per valuation standards and principles, assess, and interrogate Municipal Valuation Rolls/ Supplementary Rolls, attend to municipal objections, conduct inspections and measurements of properties. Collect and analyse market information, sales statistics, market trends, interpret market variables and make informed decisions based on these. Compile operational plans and monthly performance reports.
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:Strong knowledge of valuation principles, good understanding of Town Planning, Building Controls and Building Construction prescripts, strong knowledge of DRC and Income Approach methods of valuation, experience in dealing with specialised properties (Schools, Hospitals etc.) experience in mass valuations and objections, vast knowledge of Municipal Property Rates Act NO.6 of 2004 as amended, understanding and interpretation of the Property Valuation Act No. 17 of 2014 and associated regulations and policies. Knowledge of RSA constitution, PFMA and other Government laws and regulations relating to land and property. The applicant will have to demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: Project Management, Research and Analytical, Negotiations, Report Writing, Presentation and Communication, Problem Solving and Decision making.
