KWAZULU NATAL DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SETTLEMENTS
 
BURSARY (OPPORTUNITIES 2019)

The Department of Human Settlements is offering bursaries to students who are residents of Kwa-Zulu Natal and are interested in pursuing a tertiary qualification in the fields of study mentioned below : -
• Civil Engineering
• Project Management
• Construction Management
• Quantity Surveying
• Bachelor of Social Science in Housing
• Property Management / Real Estate
• Financial Management
• Supply Chain Management
 
Applicants should already have been accepted / provisionally accepted or in the possession of a CAO application receipt. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 — 35 years.
 
The funding is for applicants who are from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and from vulnerable groups. The performance of the applicant will be taken into consideration.
 
 
To apply, the following documents are required:-
• A completed bursary application form (obtained from the Departmental Website)
• Certified copy of the applicant's Identity Document and that of parent or guardian
• Certified copy of Matric Certificate or Grade 11 Report
• Proof of income of parent /guardian (payslips, proof of SASSA pay-out or bank statement not older than 3 months)
• Proof of residence (letter from local leadership, councillor, parent's/guardian's utility bill with SAPS affidavit) 
• Proof of registration / acceptance letter from the institution of higher learning 
• Proof of unemployment from the Department of Labour if parents / guardians are unemployed
• Motivational Letter
