DIRECTOR: LEGAL SERVICES

Salary Range: R1 057 326 - R1 245 495.00 p.a.

Requirements: • An appropriate four (4) year legal qualification, LLB or equivalent qualification (NQF7), coupled with a minimum of eight (8) years' in the legal profession, five (5) of which should be at a MMS/SMS level • Sound knowledge of applicable legislation, constitutional law, law of contracts, administrative law and interpretation of statutes • Professionalism, good work ethics, honesty, reliability and team work • Ability to work independently, yet function optimally as part of a dynamic • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Critical analysis, research, analytical and project management skills • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Computer literacy (MS. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) • Valid Code 08/EB driver's licence.
Duties: • Implement the Departmental Legislative programme • Manage the development and provision of support and guidance for the effective implementation of the contract management function • Ensure the proper management of litigation matters affecting the Department • Ensure effective provision of general legal support • Manage the resources of the Directorate • Implementation of Sukuma Sakhe [OSS] in the designated district • Supervise, develop and manage employees' performance in accordance with the Employee Performance Management and Development System (EPMDS).

Requirements: • An appropriate Bachelor's degree (NQF7) majors in Financial Management field or equivalent qualification coupled with a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience, five (5) of which should be at a MMS/SMS level • Extensive relevant experience in Procurement, supply chain management and Financial Management • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team • Good understanding of the public service legislation and prescripts applicable to Government, including systems and procedures • Ability to work independently, yet function optimally as part of a dynamic team • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Critical analysis, research, analytical and project management skills • Knowledge of PFMA • Computer literacy (MS. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc) • Good communication skills (written and verbal) • Valid Code 08/EB driver's licence.
Duties: • Manage the provision of an efficient and effective demand and acquisition • Provide a sound management of Departmental contracts and reporting • Mange asset management and logistics services • Ensure the provisioning of advice and guidance in terms of SCM, Asset Management and Loss Control to internal and external clients • Manage the development and implementation of SCM, Asset management and Loss Control policies, strategies, procedure manuals and best practices • Supervise, develop and manage employees' performance in accordance with the Employee Performance Management and Development System (EPMDS).

DEPUTY DIRECTOR: INFRASTRUCTURE

Salary Package: R733 257.00 p.a. (An all-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the rules of Middle Management Service) (Salary level 11)
Requirements: • An appropriate three (3) year tertiary qualification in Built environment/related field or equivalent qualification, coupled with a minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at a managerial level/Assistant Director within the built environment • Experience in project management; including National Treasury Standard for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management 2015; Construction Industry Development Board Act 2000 (Act No. 38 of 2 000) Ability to work in a multi - disciplinary team • Good understanding of the public service legislation and prescripts applicable to Government, including systems and procedures • Ability to work independently, yet function optimally as part of a dynamic team • Good financial management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Experience, expertise and practical knowledge of project management within the built environment • Knowledge of built environment • Good interpersonal relations skills, planning and organizational skills • Willingness to travel and work outside normal work hours • Good communication skills (written and verbal) • Computer literacy (MS. Duties: • Develop policy strategy and ensure effective implementation • Support the development and implementation of infrastructure frameworks • Conduct research and compile infrastructure plans for the Department • Ensure proper construction and maintenance of infrastructure facilities • Manage improved spatial planning and development of infrastructure • Manage resources of the division • Monitor project [conduct site visits] and present reports • Manage and monitor compliance with industry regulations including EPWP and develop policy, strategy and ensure effective implementation • Liaise with stakeholders on infrastructure development matter • Supervise, develop and manage employees' performance in accordance with the Employee Performance Management and Development System (EPMDS.
