Job Description
The Sustainability Services team provides ESG assurance and a wide range of ESG-related advisory services. Our multidisciplinary team works with a range of established methodologies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and risks in organizations’ interactions with society, and uses this knowledge to strengthen impact.
Due to the heightened awareness around ESG and its increasing importance for all organizations, there has been an increase in ESG considerations and inclusions in proposals and client liaisons throughout the business. It is imperative that the Sustainability Services team works with teams across all business units to ensure that each of the relevant ESG pillars are being considered when offering services or delivering on work, which will ultimately result in increased value to the client.
Sustainability Services requires an experienced Manager to work with the current leadership team to deliver on the upcoming workload of assurance and advisory projects. The Manager will need to project manage the assurance and reporting engagements and direct, guide and supervise the allocated team. There is an expectation to also work with the leads across the KPMG Business units to build KPMG solutions in Assurance and Reporting as well as prepare and deliver on proposals.

Job Purpose
Manage and maintain the cloud-based forensic and investigation infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operation of digital forensics, data analytics, and evidence management platforms.
Responsibilities
· Administer and maintain all forensic and investigation systems hosted on Azure — including case management, data storage, analytics environments, and automation pipelines.
· Design and manage Azure-based forensic environments, such as isolated investigation VMs, Azure Sentinel workspaces, and secure evidence vaults.
· Support forensic and incident response teams with data ingestion, extraction, and queries from diverse sources (Azure logs, O365, endpoints, and third-party integrations).
· Automate data collection, enrichment, and correlation across Azure services using Logic Apps, PowerShell, and Azure Functions.
· Implement and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and ensure compliance with evidence handling, retention, and privacy standards.
· Knowledge of configurations relating to RAG, Agentic AI and document analyser, Azure AI etc

We are currently looking for a Supervisor in Cyber Forensic and Response within our Forensic Business unit in Johannesburg
Job Purpose
Collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence to determine root cause and scope of compromise.
Responsibilities
- Perform forensic imaging and evidence preservation.
- Analyze disks, memory dumps, logs, and network captures.
- Reconstruct attack timelines and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Support law enforcement or legal teams with admissible evidence.
- Oversee storage, access control, and security of digital evidence repositories.
- Support investigators with data extractions, large-scale queries, and log analysis.
- Automate ingestion, parsing, and correlation of diverse data sources (network, endpoint, cloud, and application).
- Manage system integrations between forensic platforms, SOAR, and incident response tools.
- Ensure regular patching, backup, and system health monitoring of forensic environments.
- Maintain chain-of-custody controls and documentation within digital evidence systems.
- Evaluate and onboard new forensic or analytics tools to enhance investigative efficiency.
- Administer and maintain all forensic and investigation platforms
- Maintain chain-of-custody controls and audit trails across Azure data and evidence repositories.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: Degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or IT.
- Certifications: GCFA, CHFI, EnCE, or CCE or related ones
- Experience: 3–7 years in digital forensics or law enforcement investigations.
- Skills: EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Volatility, Autopsy, log and packet analysis.
- Strong command of forensic and data platforms (EnCase Enterprise, Magnet AXIOM, Nuix, Relativity, X-Ways, FTK)
- Optional: relevant cloud forensic certifications, Azure/AWS SysOps, or Database Administrator certifications.
