INTERNAL AUDITOR (Permanent Appointment)
Remuneration: R396 848.14 – R427 596.78
 
 
Requirements:
Bcom/Btech with Accounting or Auditing major
National Diploma in Internal Auditing
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Driver’s license
Advantageous:
Completed internal audit technician (IAT)
Registration with the Institute of Internal Audit South Africa (IIASA)
 
Key Performance Areas:
Planning, execution and reporting on internal audit assurance and consulting engagements.
• Responsible and accountable for conducting and reporting on scheduled audits and ensuring that audit work conforms to relevant standards;
• To meet project objectives to ensure value added assurance services to the Municipality;
• Evaluate results of the audit and report thereon to ensure that findings and recommendations are supported by documented evidence and reported correctly;
• Direct and control audit activities economically, efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of outputs;
• Drafting of internal audit findings for inclusion in the reports for discussion with management;
• Undertaking special reviews as may be determined by management or the audit committees;
• To direct, when required, the activities of Interns.

COMPETENCIES
• Proficiency in MS Office programmes
• Proficiency in local government and its applicable legislation
