PURPOSE
Co-ordinate and monitor the activities of on-site contractors and inspectors to ensure effective service delivery in informal sectors with regards to supply and maintenance of water tankers and chemical toilets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule monthly work plans with Contractors in terms of supply and maintenance of water tankers and chemical toilets / pit latrines. Ensure roadworthiness of plant and equipment under your control. Maintain repair and service the forklift and TLB (Back Actor) as per manufacturers and JW specification and maintenance schedule. Advise other user departments with the safe operation and use of machinery. Assist other user departments on planned and emergency work, with on site maintenance and repairs with regards to minor plant and machinery. Check and repair lights, lenses, reflectors plugs, wiring harness to comply with road worthy requirements on mobile plant. Do basic auto electrical repairs and maintenance. Carry out maintenance on minor plant, stationed at Network Regions, and Electro-Mechanical depots. Repairs and maintenance on yellow plant. Report of abused machinery within the shortest possible time frame to Ops Manager. Checking of tools and equipment on a monthly basis to comply with OHASA. Conduct appropriate / required test and sign off acceptance. Ensure as-built plans are submitted and handed over to Development Control and captured on GIS within specified timeframe. Determine connection size, align to estimated consumption and is 100% in compliance to emergency services regulations. Ensure full compliance to metering policy. Administer quotations for disconnection of services as determined by Tariff of Charges. Ensure Reg. 38 certificates are processed. Ensure and that accurate records are kept, filed and presented monthly or as required by Regional Manager for site inspections, meetings attended, final inspection, as-built drawings and record of application of new connection to CoJ. Manage information on new connections where accurate information is distributed to Operations. Conduct daily analysis of information communicated to Regional Manager. Monitor meter data quality.
