JOHANNESBURG WATER - OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE (CONTRACT POSITION FOR 5 MONTHS)

 
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain a medical surveillance program for all employees (pre-placement, periodical, transfer and exit medical examinations. Conduct biological monitoring to prevent occupational diseases. Maintain the occupational health risk management program. Conduct audiometric and hearing tests. Conduct hygiene inspections. Report all injury on duty to relevant authorities. Submit all injuries on duty forms and COIDA documents to the City of Johannesburg. Prepare referrals to the Occupational Medical Practitioner. Treat and manage all minor injuries referred to the clinic. Interpret laboratory and radiography reports. Develop and implement occupational health awareness programs and educate employees on diseases that can be acquired occupationally. In terms of procurement, develop specifications for health related goods and services. Compile occupational health reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. Report injury on duty and occupational illnesses to the Department of Labour and the City. Ensure that all clinical documents are kept confidential and safe. Maintain filing of employee records.
